how can we guage SPL and SQL does it pertain to ones own listening level ( ears) or is there a way that we can define it.

my understanding goes audio settings where some one can listen to hours without getting irritated with lots of bass .

LBM - 2 subs and an amp which is like a rocket which is awesome ! a question to you if you lower the volume say 4 or 2 do you still hear more bass than the lyrics or do you change the settings for your listening taste.

what is it that you listen mostly

Hey Guys, this thread is going MAJORLY OT.

@Sam > when can we expect ample supply of the 75.4? -

Ample because (hopefully) that would send prices down.

SQL means a level where you are comfortable, SPL means when your neighbours are uncomfortable. LBM has one system that can be tuned for SQL and SPL (depending upon his mood and intentions), normally he listens his system in SQL mode, which means he gets controlled bass at lower volumes. (unlike Pio sub).. & he is comfortable.

as to his listening choices, as any other punjabi like myself....he mostly listens to punjabi stuff like chamkila, arshi, dhillon, mika and daler mehndi (bolo tara rara). His current favourite album is "Paper Ya Pyaar" by Harminder Singh and Miss Pooja of UK fame!! and his current favorite # is "Paperan de vich doven phail nakhro ni mainu lagda howaaange...ho ho ho"

Kya yaar. Killing, what killing. For 16L its a 5.1 system, with av pre power. 18.5 for 7.1.

K2S9800 for about 16 a pair (with Vat) and everest for about 30.

Project Array 5.1 for 16L makes sense. There is no killing in that.

Its not our fault, Low Bass Makker can be misleading at times he only said "he will be improving my tastes further with listing to 1600K speakers running through 500k CD player and 700k Amp".

With CD player one can listen to stereo only, until and unless you are converting stereo to surround using Pro Logic Decoder / AV Reciever.

JB, He was listening to the array speakers on Mark Levinson equipment. He wasn't wrong at all.

And that equipment left a strong mark on my mind....how a good reproduction of sound is to be done, it was dynamic, real and clear all at the same time as if the singer was sitting in front of me, if could even hear the guitar plucker sound also...

There is something silly, funny and very innocent in that statement. I'm grinning and I'll bet everyone else is too.
