yes heard all of them..sounded pretty cool. Helix was all about clarity. MTX was about output. Rainbow are hand made speakers from germany which has excellent clarity and output. By output i mean the bass part.

@ hydra ashok - thanks a ton for the info.

Am a newbie in car audio so its a learning for me. And I wouldnt claim to be an expert in home audio as well though I have a set up after much work and loads of auditions - (every time i just see my HiFi i get a tingling /pride mixed feeling (hope u get it) and listening to it late nights - no ambient sound. Lights off and on my beanie.. I love it)

to get abck to topic. am reading a lot of stuff on the ICE section. so hydra and the others do keep them coming!

Well since I want a class setup. Am thinking of going for the best HU or the best speakers whichever is not easily upgradable adn then upgrade the other when I have cash to spend.

Reviews say Blau is flat and Pio colours sound? I guess I'd be more happy with the least coloured one.. (enough bright colours on the Spark!!!)

I would also recommend you to give a listen to Alpine HUs. They are quite accurate and according to many, it sounds very sweet!

Thats pretty accurate... Compared a blau MP46 with a pio 6950. The blau was way way way better in terms of sonic accuracy. Not sure why pio has such a huge fan following in this forum. To me it sounds colored black and blue.

Thanks Gurus.

So you suggest good HUs are good spkrs to splurge on first?

Or if I re-phrase it..

WHich is easier to upgrade? Tough Q.. if you asked me this about my homesetup I'd be at a loss.. but am not a Guru..

^^As I told you earlier LBM, my point of reference is only the 6950 . Haven't heard your setup so can't comment .

You know Mainak, if you could post details of your observations it would be very helpful to all the members.

At my age and my obligations I do not get the chance to review too many products. What knowledge I have is very dated and brands often change over their lifetime.
