Can we use 8GB memory stick on those systems? Is there an upperlimit on what you can use?

To use USB with 6950IB,5950IB, u need an additional usb adapter and not just the cable. these models(IB) support only i pod on the cable. The models with 'UB' suffix like the 7950UB support usb directly

Pioneer 7950 supports upto 250GB.

you can comfortably go ahead and use your 8GB memory stick.

The following is quoted from Pioneer's website:

Hi Low_Bass_maker , is the Panasonic HU installed on a Verna? Just curious and if so whats is its cost ?

Yes it is a verna and I dont remember the price.
