Default Panasound / Soundbarier how good are they ?

A friend is all set to get his car iced.

Zeroed on Pio 306 DVC and JBL Amp but unable to get it anywhere in Chandigarh except for one and guy and he doesnt want to purchase from him.

Even pio amps are on shortage and stuff so the ICE guy is saying him either get a PANASOUND or SOUNDBARIER AMP.

Need general opinion on them and how good are they ?

Panasound? Sounds like Panafax, lol. And Soundbarrier too. Sounds like no-brand chinees stuff to me baba.

It is better to stay away from these brands.

The name "Panasound" sounds like a mixture of two reputed brands, Panasonic and Parasound.
Here is the funny part:
The "Panasound" 1000W new amplifier with box, fuses, manual, cables etc. ( ) is being sold at $85 online.

Sound barrier is too local (read as too Chinese) a brand, never heard of it anywhere.

My suggestion - Ask your friend to stick to reputed brands.

They are usual fake "Alpines" that you get; probably now under a new name.

I have heard Panasound and they are better without their "sound" . Stay away is all I can say.

Thumbs down

I saw the Soundbarrier amp yesterday at the shop in Ghaziabad while my Bro in law was getting his ICE installed. Didnt have a camera else would have got the pic.

Its a red and silver bodied 4 channel amp for 3.1k without B&W, and says it gives a sound output of 5400W

Pure piece of crap, I must say.

I have been thru that part of ICEing world. Cheap and fake amps making a lot of thump than many known ones and available aplenty. But read ahead;
Panasound is manufactured in the outskirts of Delhi in a place called FREEdaBAD. It's very much a favorite amongst us team-bhpians due to the fact that it is manufactured under special personal care by a fellow bhpian brother known as LBM. It also produces some good sensitive thingies too!
On a very serious note I would recommend you to avoid anything else than barriers and sounds too. Especially when it is presented in colourful packages by spooky looking women!
Still! You can have a demo of the said thingys. Make sure to stay far from it though. And after It's over, you may ask for special instructions on how to iron clothes using the same.

Please follow the above posts. It is only wise to stick to known/reputed brands. Tomorrow, You'll have some good smile left on your face. It's worth waiting a bit rather than sitting with sour lemons, milk and a vessel to make the porridge. Oats and sugar may not be far away, try a bit more harder and also contact local BHPians for help.

Unless they want someone to break it. But that takes speed. hmm.. confusing.

Have not seen any of Sound Barrier amps here, but their screens sell a lot in grey in JC Road, they are hopeless too, but for the price can't expect too much better.
A 9.2" Roof mount screen costs like some 6500 bucks.

lol, why does one want a barrier?

Anyways, i used this amp about three years ago.

If you don't know what ICE and quality means - go for it. it will give you the boom boom. don't expect anything else. Ever heard Akon's - I wanna f**k you with drums in the background?
