Gill, your sub being 2 ohms DVC, you can wire it any one of the following ways:

1. Series : to present a 4 ohm load;

2. Parallel : to present a 1 ohm load.

Now option 1, we've been discussing all over. option 2, You need a mono amp thats stable at 1 ohm pumping out 400W RMS @ 1 ohm.

Better option for you would've been to go in for 4ohm DVC to present 2 ohm to the mono. theres no way that i know to present 2 ohm to an amp with a 2 ohm DVCs, except that you power only 1 coil.

Gill

I am a bit confused... What is it your really need? Ask yourself this before you get into an endless (upgrade) loop.

- Do you require more Bass?
- Do you require louder Rears?
- Do you require more Midbass and a louder front soundstage?

Not a sole parameter, already satisfied with MY ID,it rocks!!But if one get's it,nothing wrong in it!!!

- Do you require louder Rears?
Yes,mother of problems

- Do you require more Midbass and a louder front soundstage?
Front soundstage is phenomenal,it's like ur listening in a studio, very clear!!Midbass is requirement in fronts as well as rears, cause when i play will by SUb off there is a drastic drop in bass and the high's take over the sound stage,i am looking forward to see the improvement in it,

Plz suggest the way for it!!
Gunbir i was more then confused too,it started with need of louder rear, louder not the exact word, rear being in proportion to the over all soundstage, the aim is minimise the gap that one fells particularly at the low to mid volume levels,as on high volume the bass takes over the overall soundstage.
So for this i thought of running the rear and front on 75.4 and add another amp(Mono or 2 channel)!

Gunbir plz advice on this!!

Frankly, I think you have enough power on the sub, it takes 250w RMS and you already have that. If you wanted more bass why didnt you go for a 12" in the first place?

A very clear and obvious suggestion. Pairing Elletromedia made Amp with Ellectromedia made speakers is the best suggestion.

Yes I know. This is going to happen very soon. Hehe.

Sub is getting enough power. You remember we could make it bottom out.

Anyways, Ground Reality check. We are not PRO in tuning.
Wait till you get a proper tune up done of your system. DRASTIC CHANGE will be there. Both in Sub integration and soundstage.

Yes, i agree.Rears need improvement!
How much an audison srx2 costs?
Now if i go for it,then most probably i need to power the fronts with it?
Just from your exp can any one help me to tell me what will be the diffrence in the overall soundstage,
GUNBIR i read through a thread in which u mentioned in india it get's real hard to explain the inidan customer to justify the quality of the product when he gets more powered amp at same or lower price!!

So Gunbir i just need that reason or explaination to go for it!!!Hope i am not sounding stuip!!

rears will be powered by 75.4

Very right. In fact power would need to be DOUBLED for most people to even hear a difference. That's physics and psycho-acoustics, it's not an opinion!

No reference to Gill's scenario or the equipment whatsoever but, bottoming is not always caused due to an amplifier delivering more power than the subs power handling/ safe operating range. Clipping can also cause it, and mostly does. Which is again, more power than the sub can handle, in a way. But not good power.

Always good to have considerably more power in your amp than what the speakers can handle. That way the speakers get 'clean' (read un-clipped) power. This sounds better AND reduces risk of burning out a driver, particularly tweeters. But of course the output should be 'limited' in such a way that full power of the amp can never be sent to the 'under-rated' speakers.

Exams start from Monday. I was busy with my Bro who was here from Ohio.

Anyways, if you need a new 2channel Amp fo front, then that's SRX2S.
Wait till you save up enough for it.
Till then, enjoy the current system. I think you will enjoy it more in a couple of weeks when my exams finish.
That is when you get a special PRO tune up to the system.
Just dont ask the details, when and how
