Not sure it's available here yet. I think Dish TV was launching it but there has been absolutely no info on the department ever since.

it is possible to do it. sideways saw it in a car at the installers shop.

he used a mini comp with touch screen and internet data card to connect to sat tv at home. not too sure about the set-up. best to pm sideways and ask how and where.

There was another thread on this. Dish TV offer Mobile STB.. *Dish TV - India's first digital cable tv India with Direct- to- home satellite broad casting

But costs look prohibitive right now.. I guess mobile sat TV should work fine.. though I have seen it only on a Kingfisher flight so far, not in a car.

Yes, Dish TV now offers this in India. You can get the auto-positioning Dish and the mobile tuner, subscription etc for around 80K total. Add professional installation and screens etc as per need.

Saw the Dish TV setup at the Autocar Performance Show.. The antenna is huuuuge.. Certainly not something that u can fit on top of a car. Its flat and looks like a luggage carrier.

I would have preferred sat radio than tv. Very useful during long drives. That was the first question i asked when the worldspace guys did the demo in our office. Think their technology is too archaic for mobile receivers.

O my god....... What next? TV in car......... Good for people who do not want to miss Serials and watch TV while you are stuck in traffic. Looks like we will see lots of cars parked on the roadside to watch television

Its funny but i did actually do that during the last India tour, would hear the commentary on the radio and the last few overs when the excitement got heated, stopped at the side and switched to DD sports to watch the action.

Default Sat Guide is out in the market

Hey Friends,
The Satguide is on the way and price range it around 10K - 17K depending on the various configurations.

I am not sure about the performance since I havent used these gizmos before. May be will have one for my Palio and post my experience on the same.
