me too looking for something similar. Here is what i have thought off! Would someone approve if this would work:

I have a iPod with huge memory. I wanted to know if the following setup will work?

1. iPod [i already have]
2. Blau Amp GTA 2 Spl Mk-II (2x120 W/1 x 400W) [Rs.3750/-]
3. Blau GTx 693 6x9" Triaxial for Rear Doors (240W) [Rs.3450]
4. Optional I have some 3000/- left - I can buy a good front speaker pair. No idea still but please suggest!

[[ Total cost = Rs.7200/- With Bill and Warranty ]]

I will forego the Hu as of Now, the iPod receives FM + tons of Music.
I will get the iPod connected to the Triaxial via the Amp!

I want to know if this would work. Will the output be good enough to get a good balance in Low and High pass. Will I need a front Speaker? or component? What speaker size is apt? how about JBL? If you guys suggest JBL - what models? Please gimme some idea!

luv,
Danny

Got myself a similar setup:

HU: JVC 635 with USB - 5300/-

Front: Infinity Reference 552i - 1600/-

Rear: JBL GTO0607 comps - 4600/-

Damping: For front doors - 1200/- (did a bad job tho - dint know how it was supposed to be done :( !!)

Total: 12700/-

All the above is out of warranty!!

And all you get is crystal clear MUSIC!!

Hope this helps!

Vikod, you got a pair of reference for 1600 bucks?
You did not add an amplifier and damped your front doors?

That is strange. Where in Hyderabad did you get this installation done?

EDIT: Sorry to hijack your thread, sabret00the. Vikod let us discuss that in your thread.
