Yes we do, this IS the ICE section!

Touch and feel is a big part of why people bought Nakamichi decks for example. A well built HU feels like it will last longer (and it usually does).

Yup, part of the reason I prefer using Alpine's especially the old ones. They feel very tactile & well built.

There isnt such a huge difference in the touch and feel of the new Pios and old. Thats was only the point. And my comment had nothing to do with 'build quality' and that sure as hell matters.

Yours is a duplicate one baba! No wonder you like the Jullunder feel to it.

I was driving around in a friends zen the other day who's just installed a Pio 5050. The Pio HU sounds brilliant and is no way 'flimsy' to touch or use. It is in fact quite easy to use and looks quite good IMO...very few buttons and the jog is easy to work with. Its build is as good as the old Pios.

I feel my 5050 is quite easy to use (This is my first HU). Users of the previous models will take some time to adjust to the new UI, thats understandable.

So the 7950 is dated now or going to continue as higher end compared to these launches?
BTW initially even i felt 7950 is bit hard to operate but just gave 30 minutes and now its easy like counting 1-10.

After listening to 4050 for 15+ hours, I should confess that only time I touch the HU is to remove the face plate.

I use the hand-held remote.

Your all over the ICE forum arent you Lucky this is the ICE section and the mods are cool(ok bad joke).

6050 is available in China/Singapore already, locally no one knows, so take it as indefinate. Could be tomorrow or next month too.

Regarding 6090 you can check with Autocop India, if im not mistaken they are the official distributors.

There will be, but it hasnt been announced as yet, so the pic you see is, well unofficial

Here's a comparison pic of the 7950/6050,6090/7050? in that order. Brushed aluminium type facia, I like, no I VANT!

It's very confusing. According to some sites the 6050/6090 has the same type of display as the 7950, but according to others it has the same as the 5050. So which one is correct?
