Hello all
I dont know if JBL has fakes in the market or not but for sure there are other companies which tag their products with names that sound like leading brand names.
I had told my dealer to put a JBL setup in my accent which included coaxials for the front,6*9s for the rear ,a 4ch amp and tweeters.I had specifically told him that all the speakers and the amp should be JBL.
However when the car came back from the dealer it had a JVL setup and not a JBL one!!!!
I still have that setup in my car.Its not bad but still its no where close to what a 15000+ system should sound like

lol Like Chandan Eclairs. Chandan written exactly like Cadbury.

Of course there are fakes that try and name themselves as close as they can to the real McCoy.

Don't go with Sony. Have had enough of them. Currently i am using a pioneer HU , JBL 4" front, pioneer 6x9s rear. Earlier i bought a sony 4" for fronts, and boy they were crap. Even my phone sounds better than them. Maybe they were fake or something. JBLs are good. Mids are produced really well. Beware of the fakes mate !

I have a SONY setup and my friend has a JBL setup.None of us are music freaks so the setup is very simple with 4 coaxials in the 4 doors and a sony HU.
I dont really find much difference in sound quality, infact the sony seems to have more punch(read bass) than the JBLs.

Maybe am naive, but sony seems better atleast for the budget products.
