Wink

That is one well-documented & clearly explained DIY job there Dr.Aditya.

I felt i was watchin a surgeon at his job through a screen outside the OT.

Cheers mate.

Thank you DerAlte ji. Such DIY jobs are only possible because of the collective knowledge of T-BHPians

Thanks Shrikanth ji. Am not a surgeon by any means .
Anyways, glad to know you found the pics informative. I wanted it to be step - by - step to make it easier for anyone else going the DIY way.

Nitrile is Oil proof. If you want to check if the sheet is nitrile, throw a piece in engine oil for 2 days. If is swells up, it aint nitrile.

To check for Neoprene, set a small piece on fire. If the flame dies out on its own... its Neoprene. If it continues burning... It aint neoprene.

Also, dont smell the fumes if you try burning them..

Default Upgraded !!!

I installed a Kenwood 8401 last month.

The SQ has improved tremendously and the speakers sound great!!!

But im having trouble fixing the speaker wires to the underside of the wooden parcel tray. No matter what tape i use it just falls off. Gurus please suggest a way out of this.

I just use small nails to secure the speaker wires. Just hammer in 2 nails close together and run the speaker wire between them. Bend the nails a little to hold the wire in place
