ICE - a small upgrade

Threw the pioneer 2 ways (was given by the dealer) and replaced them with JBL 6" components (Woofer + pillar mounted tweeters) at front doors and JBL 2 ways (6") at rear doors. Have Pioneer HU and Blaupunk 12" sealed box sub + amp already. The new speakers are GTO-607c Compos (woofer + crossover + tweeters) and GT5-652 2 ways. Sound output, detail and clarity has increased as expected and now the whole system rocks!. Anyway my overall install crossed way ahead of 20K mark (the budget limit I fixed earlier) and ICE is freezed .

Interesting. Would suggest a 4 channel amp as next upgrade.

From which shop did you get it?

I got it fixed at Pogummoodu shop. Actually it was part of some deal he got from them and he called me and offered them in a consession rate as he was not planning to install them. It was only compos I got from him. And one of his friend wanted a second hand speaker system. So we traded my old speakers to that frind, installed these compos plus bought a pair of 2 ways from that shop.

So your amp is not a 4 way right? But Do you think I need a 4 way? I think I need a better amp to drive my sub. I will call you tomorrow and we can discuss it.

Congrats Jay! A nice setup you have now.

As the ICE is freezed for now, let me suggest you some good ideas.
Next upgrade should be the HU and amp. Go for a better Pioneer/Alpine HU. Con some relative of yours' to bring down one for you from PERSIA!
You can find somebody to buy your current amp and get rid of it. Pick up the blau 275 from Jk. Add a 4channel amp like a JBL 60.4 or a Blau 475. Your setup will be complete by then. Remember, who gave you the idea after you go thru all these.

Haha, thanks zak. I am outta my budget now for ICE. But anyway as you said, I can import an HU from 'PERSIA'. Sis and bro-in-law are there and it would be only a piece of cake for them. Will try when she comes next time. Probably a video playable and USB/aux input capable!

Will talk to JK regarding the 275. Hoping all these can be done in a span of 5-6 months, if I am lucky. And ofc will remember, the guy who made me spent a lot for all these. Get well soon

If I remember correctly, it was 5.6K. I must say it is a good budget sub and satisfies my taste. I never wanted a booming tube kinda sub.
