Havent heard Morel.

Hertz is bright ( DSK) and ESK is a bit over priced these days?

Took it to Car Shoppe ! They failed to install it! C6A is a bit big to go in to stock location; expertise needed.

Oops ! Anyway I need to do alteration on my door pads, so thought to go for 6.5" then any 6" or 5.25".

By the way how do you feel the performance of c6a? Is it have weather proof cones? Else if rainfall splashes it.. will be in trouble.

The Morel Tempo 6X doesn't open up as much as the DLS C6A and it needs a lot of power to drive it too ,the Hertz Energy series are good but still a little bright for my taste,Now I really want to hear the Hifonics Comps.

Morels neeed a good amount of power for it to sound great. Their midwoofer are warm and tweeters are laid back but sound sweet, smoother almost non fatigue. Haven't heard the tempo but going by their dotech, hybrid, elate, they'l be good. Their tweeters can play every detail and have one of the best off axis response.
Dls again are worth trying. Have excellent response. Some of their speaker components are made by Morels.

So where do you plan to get it installed from?

This one has a paper cone, but i'm sure it is weather proofed, still may not be as water resistant as polypropylene or glassfibre.

Default Review on DLS C6A Component Speakers

I swapped the JBLs last day and got C6A's fitted. Bloody brilliant speakers.

Small review on DLS C6A's
  • They thump great!
  • I had to bring down the sub level from 9 to zero (on the HU) !
  • I was able to bring treble back to zero from -7 @ 10k !
  • I was able to pump up volume way much higher than my old setup
  • They are bigger than your normal components and hence might need spacer/cutting to fit

I now have to get damping and get all wires changed.

Great! Should listen to it soon. They might be 6 3/4" speakers?
If they thump great it might be my ideal speakers since mine would be a Subless setup.

Nothing can replace a subwoofer.
No replacement for displacement.

Now that is very apt But in the i10 i'm retaining the stock HU and don't want to spend sound processors et al, thus the issue with sub.
