That's a neat feature, to be free from distracting backlighting during night driving!

Controls buttons should have been bigger. They are hard to find sometime.
Looking at the pictures, I agree totally with you. With so much real estate available on the facia, those buttons should have been bigger. Overall a very desireable product.

More technical information on 'Digital listening position selector' and 'Time alignment' is also welcome.
Its a strip down version landed up here in India. No bluetooth, TA or Digital Alignment using Mic.

FH-P8000BT - that is from the Pioneer line. A very similar model is available in the Premier line, and that has an option to turn off the internal AMP, and two year warranty (against one year for the FH-P8000BT) and Premier installation.

Any Idea how much is the Premier FH-P800BT, can i get this in india?? if not can i get the Pioneer FH-P8000BT? and at what price?

I saw both the models on the US website, the only diffrence between these two is the Direct Ipod control. The Indian Double Din FH6050 has only 2 pre-out and no Bluetooth.

Can any one help? Please

Is this the FH-P800BT/FH-P8000BT? or is it the Indian one(6050)? I'm not able to make out much from the image

Unfortunately I think that the FH-P8000BT isnt available in India. This unit is basically a cheaper version of the FH-P8000BT, and the major difference is the lack of bluetooth. The FH-P8000BT also has the ability to control iPods/iPhones/iTouches.

I'd love to know if the FH-P8000BT is available in India. But I think that both units have only 2 pre-outs.

The OE HU of the Fiesta does not have USB option but it's decent, I'm not sure about the speakers but the HU is Sanyo

I'm in an interesting predicament. I'm temporarily driving a family member's Fiesta, and I want to give it back (in one month) with a new HU that can play both tapes and mp3 cds. I currently have a double DIN HU in my own car (Swift) that does exactly that, so I want to remove the stock HU from the Fiesta and replace with with my Swift's double DIN Pioneer HU. I guess I'll have to get a hold of some sort of adapter to be able to pull off the replacement.

Part 2 of the predicament is finding a new HU for my Swift. I've been thinking of getting a Pio FH-P8000BT from my brother who will be flying down from the US in a month's time. The main attraction is the bluetooth and i-pod functionality. But at the same time I'm very tempted by some of the single DIN HU's that have good sound quality (Eclipse CD7200, Pio P880, Alpine 9887) which dont cost very much more. The only thing holding me back is the single-DIN sized hole I'll have in the dashboard if I do that. Unless I find a good way to fill that hole I'll probably settle for the FH-8000BT. Ideal solution would be to find a single-DIN in-dash cd changer that could send an optical signal to the HU (and thus make use of the HU's DAC).

Sorry for wandering off topic.
