Default Kenwood 4036u not reading CD's

Hi Guys,

I had recently purchased Kenwood 4036u HU for car. Problem i'm facing it doesn’t read some mp3 CD's I write at all, although CD is perfectly fine when I open it up in computer.

After some investigation, I found a rather strange fact...The HU isn't able to read those CD which I write with my favorite CD writing program IMGBurn...it reads those written by Nero..

First I thought it maybe due to write method, as Nero defaults to track at once writing while IMGBurn default is Disk at once, but as once again I wrote another CD in IMGBurn with write method set as Track at once, i found it this was not the case...

What could be the possible reason for such behavior of HU, is the HU CD drive faulty? or if anyone knows any other options which is making IMGBurn written CD's un-readable, please suggest...

Obviously, the most obvious suggestion would be I stick to Nero, but I really love IMGBurn for its lightweight & clean interface as well its a freeware and to my knowledge its the best CD writing program too with most options...so I want to stick with it..

Regards

Are you trying anything strange in the CD's filesystem / file naming conventions while burning the CDs? Try burning with Microsoft compatibility file names (or whatever sounds like that (I think it called Joliet extensions) turned on.
