Well the HU stays as the normal HU would, in the normal 1DIN rack in the dash.

For voice calls, there is a wired mic that stays the top of the sun shade (near the head of the driver). The alternate location can be behind the Steering wheel. So when someone calls, all u need to do is press a button on the HU and the call continues. The mics pics up your voice pretty good and the other persons voice is routed to the car speakers. Pretty easy. You dont ahve to even bother to leave the steering wheel and have some ALIEN thing stuck inside your ear (read handsfree kit :P)

For the music playback, all u need to have is mobile phone or any device that supports A2DP Bluetooth profile. You need to pair the device with the HU (Its just a 2-3 steps, one time process). The HU has the capability to start the music player in the phone (I have SE walkman phone, W950i) and the tracks can be controlled thru
a) The HU b) The remote c) The phone.

The voice as well as the music quality is good. Pretty good I'd say.

Other thoughts: When I enter into the car, i simply turn on the BT on my phone, and keep it in the glovebox. The HU automatically pairs with the phone. I have 4GB pen drive attached to the HU and 4GB of songs in my phone. I simply change the source on the HU and play the songs.
If someone calls me, the volume gets muted and the ringtone is played in the car speakers (sound funny), the caller name is displayed on the phone, with the phone number. I can then accept or reject the call. The HU even tells if I receive a message :P

Awesome HU I must say. And this is just one aspect of it.

I paid some 270$ for it some 6 months back.

check if there is any profile selection option for music streaming in your BB. If it all it exists then select that profile and see if it works

Default Does Bluetooth car audio support iphone 3g

Hi to all

Does the Bluetooth Car audio systems like Sony etc support iphone 3g. If yes please let me know which bluetooth system would be good and also come at a good cost.

Also please let me know in case it does not support bluetooth car audio systems then what is the best alternative. This is mainly for using the iphone in car. Pleasse give me options other than using a bluetooth head phone. Mainly I would like to hear the calls through the car speakers

Thanks to all in advance

Your iPhone does not have Bluetooth !!!!! Or you mean bluetooth audio streaming ?

I have a Kenwod BT7539U which works just perfectly with my iPhone3g for taking/making calls. The voice comes from the speakers and they have a external mic.
