Anyway please remember that the distributors for these kits and such ICE products are bringing them through official channels, attracting 32% duty on these items. They pay for the shipping, and then sell to their dealers who finally deal with you the customer.

So 6/6.5K --> 12+K is not too difficult to imagine. The product might be the same, but the quality of service received from the installer/dealer will definitely be noticeably higher if you procure your kit officially through him.
Docg its not a big deal to get one from USA at that price and i also know how much the distributor has add to the kit if he imports one as per you there is only the duty and shipping which has to be added what about vat/distributor margin/dealer margin you forgot this to add so please do the calculation.

I asked abhinav how he got this @6k in india as the official price for this kit in States is Approx 150$ which comes to 7.5k INR ($ @ 50/-) simple i bought mine for 12k here in India, Getting one from the dealer @ 6k is a big thing .

So please read the Post properly before teaching how it can cost you this much in INDIA.

Karan. I corrected that.
It was 7.5k + around 1500 for the shipping etc. This was after the discount coupon. Else shipping was all the more expensive and customs had to be cleared too.

But yea, in comparison to the 12k , it is a much better deal.

Abhinav you added a new meaning to your name.
ABHINAV = Full Of Surprises

I suppose the next surprise should be the design of Sub Enclosure and the Installation. Correct ?

Sir I do know what all goes into the pricing calculations when a product comes to India I am in the industry after all.

However when I read the price I assumed that Abhinav sourced his kit from somewhere abroad. If that kit was procured in India through the right channels, then it's definitely a great deal.

Also note:

The Enclosure would be made to specs but in a different way altogether ( maybe)

Installation would be as per my requirements ( A rough idea has been formulated)

The last surprise would be the Components which i am still deciding upon.

install. Will start next week only. Will go in for a normal install as my car would be used by my brother and dad and they wanted no hassles in removing the spare wheel. Will go for a blinger install later.

As for the components, yes i have finalised them. Exceeded my budget but they sure are to my taste. Let the GASing game begin again.

The dyn would be too ahead of my budget.

Morel. Hmmm. You never know what's cooking.
Keep the guesses coming

And this time no one knows about it so no way it would be leaked. (I'm sooo bad)
