The fact that the 470 seems aimed at the purists is not surprising but expensive? - not nesscarily atleast one site asks more for the JBL 1004 than the CA470

In Poland the 1004 sells for a bit more than the 470 (999 vs 949 zloty) and in France, Romania, Croatia and Slovakia they sell for almost the same price (about 1800-1900 Kuna in Croatia and about 280-290 Euro in Slovakia - the Koruna is not used anymore - and about 260-270 Euro in France). In Germany and Sweden however the 470 sells for about 20% more.

What little information can be gleamed from looking at the pics here
harman/kardon

indicates that the 470 seems much nicer made than the 1004 and the layout seems more thought through. So at the same price the 470 is far better VFM than the 1004.

sorry my bad. I am getting old and this is a case of doing 2-3 times at once. I think parts of my internal parallel processing algorithim are malfunctioning now.

Well I have the 14001 and 1004 schematics but i cant post that can I. It's public domain info but I did not have a 1004 pic to compare to the 470, since the 75.4 was similar I used that.

Stop teasing me Sam you know I cant reveal my sources. Not even to you. In any case most of this schematic stuff is not of interest to anyone on TBHP is it?

I found the schematic of the 470 as well but I will NOT post it here. It is not public domain yet. Sam if you want to know since you work for JBL I'll tell you via email just drop me a line.

The user manual is public domain so here goes

Also wats the price. Did you get it with B/W or without it?
