I guess I am not wandering in indecision anymore. I am taking this 8401. Just talked to the guy in the DRIVEN. He recomended 8401 as well.

Now just a little confused about the wiring kit

About 2 months ago i was in the same situation as you are right now. I tested all 3 GT4MK2 8401 and the gt5 amp

i choose 8401 due to my liking. after i listen it for days i got convinced that my mono would also be a kenwood i got 9104d

as for the wiring i got Scosche E3200 and they are working like a dream till now

i would recommend it any day

Ok I have talked to the guy at driven. Will probably drop in there and get that audition. But honestly I am so much agitated now that I am thinking of chucking out the whole idea out of my head :P

Now that I am nearly zeroed in to the AMP this wiring thing is killing me.

This is so much of research.

The cheapest branded kit that i have seen is the scosche wiring kit.

Probable pricing will be appreciated, against the model number.

Thanks for the reply panky. But I'd require the speaker cables as well.

In case your Polk didn't come pre-bundled with the speaker wires, you can go either for RF "s" series or Illusion reference series. both are excellent.

Nitin,
I recently got a Bull Audio 12" sub and Bull Audio 6.5" components installed in my vRS. I'm running these off the Kenwood 8401 and am pretty happy with the sound. The HU is stock - Alpine 9830. I used the Bull Audio 7ga wiring kit which comes with the power cable, the fuse and one RCA. Any good installer should be stocking good quality speaker wires so no need to worry about that. In fact if you are in Gurgaon and would like to audition my car or need the location of a good installer, I can help you with both.

hey sushant! i got 6m of polycab 35sq mm wire for my amps. its rated to allow 95A of current to flow across it consistently without a glitch. it cost me 170/m. its worth it, considering its a good quality cable.

I didnt understand, how u managed to power the fornts, the coaxials and the the SW with that amplifier. Care to elaborate ?
Apologize for the late reply.

2 channels bridged for the sub. Front left channel powers front component and rear coaxial and same for right. I think this is the setup done. This is done by a guy who has just completed Mobile Media course in USA. It sounds great.
I have not used JBL amp and cannot comment on the same.
All the best.
