does anyone have a bluetooth adapter for the 9887? anyone used/owns the kce-300/350/400bt from alpine?
hows the reception and stuff? i need bluetooth quite badly in the car, since the bluetooth headset blocks my ears and doesnt allow me to listen to music properly. i want something that mutes the audio and plays it back after the call is ended. the kce-400bt is from parrot and has decent reviews. only thing is, it costs rs. 8-10k. it makes sense getting a 7200mkII if im spending 10k, since it covers most features i want. mind you, i dont have the money right now. just pondering!

Ya first frank didn't had money for a better 4 channel amp, then no money for lucent compos, then a new sub and now he doesn't have monies for a Brand New 7200MKII

Frank just tell your neighbors and their kids that they have to get their teeth cavities filled and tada you will have all the money in the world.

A little lieing (lying)for iceing isn't bad or is it

I just put up the alpine head unit and ground zero oval coaxials for sale. If the 9887 sells at the price I want, then an upgrade to another *yet unknown* head unit is imminent. If it doesn't, then back to good old life.
As for the ground zeros, ive put them up since I don't need them actually, and need cash :-)
As one Dr. Brown put it, "Roads? Where we're going we don't need roads."

Oye Franky, ab bas kar beta. Taking a call while driving isn't safe driving at all. Getting a blueetooth is not a very good idea.
I know you are looking for a reason to buy that eclipse. Caught you there, right

<cowering in shame>
Eclipse nahi. Maybe something else. Maybe the new car will sport something different. Waiting for a verdict from the bean counters (Dad) on the new car!

You mean to say your Dad came to know what you have spent on the current one? Need some help in that department?

Hope you are not thinking of the Clarion 785, are you?

nope. not thinking of the 785. its a downgrade of course. but a good unit nonetheless.
i was thinking of the 'higher' end this time. or possibly a car pc?!? depends on whether we are getting the new car and then depends on which car it is. i hope you know what im getting to. there will be a time when i will not want to mess with the stock look of the car. so ill install a sound processor like the pxe-h650 from alpine or the rockford fosgate threesixty.two (whatever the name is) to clean the signal to remove any inbuilt amplification and have higher voltage preouts. fiat linea on the mind. i10 asta kappa auto on the mind too :-)
<SWEET thoughts cross my mind as i gaze into oblivion>

A car pc with a good sound card would not be less than 50-55k.
Its better to get a good headunit than a car pc.
Since you are able to differentiate very minute sounds - the Head unit is the one for you.
Keep the Car PC out.

Go for a sound processor like the one LBM is using in his car.
P.S. Do not consider the 5030 since it is not worth spending 20k(+/-) on that HU. It doesnt have 24 bit DAC which is an important requirement for you i think.

if the 9887 did USB, and its bluetooth module was cheap, i wouldnt part with it. just that im quite tired of looking for that cd in the caselogic now! i need something with USB that plays WAV off the flash drive. i guess there's only 2 units available that do that. those are the x991 and x993 (just launched)
im also considering the 7200MKII. But see, all this can be thought of, only after we decide about the car. I might also be without a car for 2-3 months if things go the way they are going right now! so no point discussing a new head unit

after a lot of debate, i thought SQ is not everything. My system neither integrated bluetooth, nor usb nor played dvd audio.
this mid end player has aux, usb, dvd and does bluetooth through the optional (which i bought) pcex01bt bluetooth module (not been released officially)
