It's a dicey thing. Difficult to point out the reason. But contributed by many pioneer head units actively:-) i'm still blessed by it in my zen. I guess its Pioneer's way of reminding us not to buy their budget head units

There's some JUGAAD for that. I read it somewhere. By winding a copper wire on RCA outs before connecting it to amp. Not exactly sure though..

Hey Frank, i have a pio 3050 and even i had the problem of alternator whine. I just did some basicre-routing and to my surprise, the problem got solved.
Before, the power & RCA were routed together from the left side of the car.
Later, i routed the RCA from the right side.

you were lucky sujit. sometimes even that doesnt work, and the problem could be the pico fuse in the head unit. pioneers of yore (a year ago) had this problem. i dont think it takes years to find a simple solution for this problem. pioneer has fallen in standard, atleast in their car audio.

Pio Budge head units work perfectly fine without the whine. There are a lot of factors which contribute to the alternator whine, search TBHP

franky ji...naughty naughty keeping such secrets. Must get more information out of you. Good to know it's not all just prosthetics and root canals that you're an expert at

You'll flip [In a completely negative way] When you hear about my HU haha...A complete antithesis to this thread

But that's OT enough. Hurry up with the HU man, eagerly awaiting pics

My money's on an eclipse or a clarion
