many find the illusion speakers laid back. its how the person perceives them. i think they 'sound' laidback since the crossovers do not have any kind of inbuilt equalization in them.
thats a very good thing, since they are doing the job they are meant to do best, that is to reproduce all frequencies the way they were intended to be heard by the creator of that music. this is one of the reasons why illusion speakers dont hold favour amongst the people who like their music with the highs and lows slightly accentuated.
trust me, this can also be achieved in illusion speakers, given a good amount of amplification and a heady but smart dose of equalization.
as an example i would like to cite the example of my luccents!
with the EQ on flat, but them getting about 150-170W to each side. i hade to tone my tweeters a little bit (even with the EQ on flat and defeat on!). none of that laidback theory there :-)

He tried and told me that the file which is out of phase gives more bass and the one with normal ones give good vocals. Which clearly shows wiring issue.

I think tunning and proper wiring makes a major difference.
will be playing these tracks again!!
to test the wiring change done by you !
