Also because earlier when I had heard Chirag's setup in "untuned" form, they were frankly not feeling the extra money over the MTX's. But now, the mid bass hits just BANG! As for the tweeters, well, the focals are BRIGHT. Atleast for me. On the other hand, the rainbow tweeters are just amazing. Though the focals do play clear and loud. If the tweeters are some how just mellowed down a little then, it's a TOUGH fight. But, for the midbass, both are very very good, though with Abhi's new upgrade the rainbow's midbass is more tighter now.

it would make a difference as far as i know.
You can fiddle with frequency etc and should be much better considering you can set individual TA for tweeters and mids.

Going Active has it own benefits and drawbacks. Benefits could be ability to set the freq and slope as per the location and what the drivers can handle. Drawback..well, It can take hours and days to get the system tuned correctly as per one desires.
The tweeters and midbass sound more open and clean as it gets rid of the passive xover which has the tendency of robbing some power. But than again a company invest a lot in building the passive xover as per the parameters of the drivers which means they do tend make the drivers work at best. Also, another advantage with active, you get to set the TA individually for the tweeter and the midbass, set EQ for left and right channel individually, tons of tuning option, giving out better sound stage and imaging. It is complexed but if tuned it in right way can sound awesome.
For example.. Some of the drivers from Dynaudio, Morel, ScanSpeak, are power hungry and tend to sound much better with active xover with loads of power as compared to playing them with passive xover.
Some who run active setup, swear by not going passive ever.

@ invinsible .. thanks for the proper answer , Am not bothered about time but I want to actually make use of P80 RSII , which is the main reason i got it .
so i think i will stick to P80 RSII and move ahead with active !! There is no harm in trying.
