Reminds me of my very first Amp purchase. This very same thing was my most important consideration. Many amps were considered, measured and discarded, simply because they weren't 'stealthy' enough

Ok the install is done for time being,

Alpine 9872 HU : Decent VFM HU , Superb build quality , Easy to use , Has just one RCA out ( but its ok as i will swap with 5090 after 1 month or so) , no major change in SQ compared to Sony but yes it blends the music better and have better control on tweet level.

Sommer cables are in , must say the are really impressive even the installer was comenting about those saying , we have never seen such impressive rca, but the Y adopter are of boss which will be replaced with something real soon

JBL 1004 - Offcourse the bass level has gone up, clipping problem solved, Low bass have improved a lot, compos sounding better , instruments playing much better

Mtx compos - I was happy with those from 1st min but now with new Amp & HU it plays much better

GZ Sub - Just WOW , amp is making it bounce like anything , people around the shop, bas ek he woofer hai aur rear speakers nahi hai ( there is only 1 sub & no rear fills)

Ichibahn Fuse + Normal power cable as RR cables were out of stock so have to wait

Good to hear that the install is done. When are the pics coming?

IMHO, that HU should be replaced ASAP. I guess converting 2 channel out to 4 channel with y cable is not recommended. Gurus can you pls throw some light on this.

here are few pics during install..

amp has gone under co-driver seat , had to remove seat for installation but fit nicely and doesn't move but sorry after installation the amp is invisible so couldn't click pics but you can now see good blue illumination of amp from all sides..

@ zero now i have touch screen HU or JVC xad in mind so will save up

Just auditioned Chirag's setup.

I must say the MTX were good for the price. Way better than JBL. Were as good as Infinity Reference which were in jsrakkar car.

Sub was also good not as boomy as JBL, but it bottomed out pretty fast. But then again his HU / AMP is not yet tuned and sub box is not made with specifications of the sub!

Chirag swap the HU to 5090 that will improve things.

Well MTX didn't had tweeter attenuation (as Chirag told me) so bull wins in that department and no doubt bull still had strong / tight midbass compared to MTX.

Though before jumping onto this conclusion i would like to audition MTX 1 more time as his setup was not tuned.

@ abhihb

i need compos little bright cause of my turban so for your kind of listening it was bright . at that point of time it was around + 3
but when i don't wear turban it is decreased to - 2 or -3 ... hope this clarify some points.. next time you listen to compos with sub off

but you tell me how was the overall clarity, bass etc in untuned setup?

Chirag even i listen to music a little bright, thats why when i installed bull in my car (for a short period of time) i set them to LOUD on crossover.

And yes as i said earlier before jumping to any conclusion between both the sets would love to audition the perfectly tuned setup.

And for a non-tuned setup your system was quiet good. And you seems to be more happy with the sound and build quality of MTX compared to earlier set.
