Default Getzy ICED !

Ok friends i have finally ordered the new ICE for my getz.
After reading lot of threads & PMing and disturbing T-bhp members ( LBM, Frank Mehta , Ramiee , B&T , Shreyas and many more ) i am able to get some really nice stuff for my 4 year old baby !!

Here is the list of my earlier & present ICE setup !!

Earlier
SONY 5500 x HU
Blaupunkt GT4 Amp
Blaupunkt VC 172 Compos
Pioneer Sub
Fake Boss RCA

Now
Sony 5500 x ( looking for new HU)- 6k an year back
GZ 165 T Compos 8200/-
JBL 75.4 Amp 8500/-
GZ mk2 Sub 5500/-
Platinum RCA + Neutrik Plugs (5mts) 2000/-

Will go for LBM's al port box after a month as am very very low on funds now & will continue using the old MDF box which i have

As all know old getz is a wonderful car for audio setup so damping the doors was never required but will damp some part of the boot to completly get rid of little KHAD-KHAD at high volume

Some pics of the stuff , will upload new pics when i start the work on the car starts

@ chiragh - your pic of the GZ compos is of the older model. The newer one has the coated paper cone, same as the higher-up Radioactive Series.

Thought you should know, so that you arent surprised when the speakers land up.

GZ 165T on hermitaudio.com quotes 6990. How come you paid 8200 for the same ?

Again Illusions.
Did not like the GZ.?

If you can't get the 75.4 , get the 1004. It is equally good. Only the 75.4 looked much better.

Let this thread stay.Changes happen to most of us.

Now that you have already invested in your speakers its good that you're not changing them.listen to them.check your wiring, make changes to your amp settings.keep the gains low.

Check the settings in the crossover if there are any.It can't be as bad as you say chiragh.

My point is that now don't spend any more on this system.Use it for about 6 months and then upgrade.

And my most important advice is please listen to the stuff before you buy it.When you're already spending this much money then a thousand more on travel won't be much yaar.

Go to delhi and check out each and every brand.Don't buy anything of which a dealer is not giving you a demo.

This morning LBM gave me 2 tracks to test ..

And after listening them LBM told that there is wiring fault with the illusions because of which Illusions didn't sound that good.. Will correct the wiring today ..

Secondly i will change the tweeter level setting from the crossover .. will move it to +3db position so that tweeters tweet well as i wear turban and seriously guys it makes difference to ears with or without it !!

But for time being i will stay back with my illusions !!

Will invest in amp may be if am lucky today will plonk in JBL 75.4 nahi toh 1004 is always a back up..
