Something like this:
Cant we just remove the OE and put the Aftermarket . Or is it due to the size factor.

Also why does it cost 7k i don't think it should cost that high.

Have a close look at the pics. You'l yourself understand. One cannot simply remove the stock HU and fit in the aftermarket one.

The stock HU and the aftermarket HU.
One has to buy the silver portion(fascia) to install the aftermarket HU.
Hope u get my point.

Reg its cost, no idea.

OE is intergrated into the stock facia you just cannot cut thru it. its one piece if you remove the front plate the HU also comes off.,So you get adapter plates that are designed to accommodate after market HU's,There is no justification for the price because you dont have an alternative,Secondly the cost of making that small piece of plastic must be taking a alot to get the die-cast and the final finishing match to the stock quality.

Thanks for the info.
But still i dont think that the cost will be this high.
Wont just cutting out the head unit part of the original thing and then doing a diy type of job ( ie putting some normal black screen or something) to cover up the section exceeding the HU bring down the cost to a great level.

Any pics of the back of the original integrated thing?

I hope this clears all doubts regarding the fascia adapter.

Nicely done. I didn't know such facia adapters were available in the market but well they are for sure now.

Default Boomdeyada!

Hey all
Update!
Changed the enclosure to a smaller 1.5ltr one. Now the bass is more precise and hard hitting but smooth. There was some problem with the 4ch amp and front comps but since it was under warranty Vasif gave a free replacement. He re tuned everything ie. sound delay, crossovers, equalizer. Now it sounds really really sooooper!
