No FM in clarion ?

It doesn't have any option or it can't support Indian broadcast?

@Nishant, was it shipped directly to India or did anyone carry it for you?

Nishant meant to say that he only listens to high quality MP3's now and no more FM for him as the quality of sound cannot be matched!

You bet, Originally this was being sold at 300-350$ last year. But, since this being 2008 model it is being sold at almost half the price. None the less, none of the 2009 models from Clarion has the features and sound quality of the 785, except the higher end Clarion DRZ 9255/HXD2. Looks may be subjective. I prefer the looks of it, as it's simple and not to flashy, that way easier to concentrate on long or highway drives.

As for the price all I paid was 105$ flat. Plus 20$ shipping charge for within US. After which a friend of mine carried it here. That's Rs.6500/- only

I paid a total of $112 for my 785

Ironically unlike others I wasnt looking for a SQ HU, all I wanted was a HU with USB & that should have features similar if not more than my Pio 5750 lol

Read this & other threads and ordered it from Amazon.

Its truly an amazing HU

lol.. that is indeed at great price Technocrat.

Has anyone here tried to use it with it's internal crossover. that is 3 way or 2 way?
Does the parametric EQ work along side of using standard bass and treble control in 3 way or 2 way setup ?

Chiragh - it does have FM and plays all odd FM frequencies very well. And yes, Abhishek captured my thoughts precisely.

@ nishant, invinsible, techno and other Clarion users:
Guys any idea how can one browse through the folders in USB mode? Or is it that we can only view the list of files in a particular folder?

I am still deciding whether to order one or not
I was planning to order this headunit directly online but before that I consulted some people in electronics field who have done imports before. They told me that it would attract 41% import duty. They also told me that its a hassle if customs officer think that the stuff is under priced than its actual cost. They would hold the product with them and you will have to visit personally for what ever settlement. Plus the handling torcher the product would go under their custody.

Hence I dropped the plan and thought techenclave.com KMD is the best bet. Yet to order it from KMD though.

Even I havent found out a way to browse the folders - either through the HU or through the remote. I guess the feature is absent.

Yes, KMD's quotes have become humongous of late. At $140, he quoted around INR 11.5k to someone.
