Yes having Time Alignment is a good thing. With time alignment one can eliminate the difference in the time required by the sound to reach the listener.

For eg. You can delay the rear speakers by 10ms so that sound reaches the listener at the same time as the front speakers. Or you can delay the sub so that all bass is upfront.
got it.thanks a lot abhibh,just one question.can you delay it by any value or are they normally preset like 5ms, 10 ms etc

Yes there are values like 0.1ms 0.2ms etc Though you will have to calculate them according to cm or inches. In Alpine you can set by ms but you will have to calculate the distance in cm or inches and see the chart in the manual to find out the Time difference in ms.

Where as in Pioneer's (the one i used) you get option to delay using cm or inches.

automarc ya. i have a long history with him. So, got it done from him only.lol. but i still need to get my skoda done. this was my brother's car.
