BTW, did you check out the latest model i.e. 5030? IIRC, that comes with TA and is around $250 mark.

they are immensely expensive in India you get CD5100 for $260 in US.

second guru log please tell me where/which site the new eclipse CD 5030 is available for 250$/260$? all i can find is the crutch field site selling this one at 299$ nothing less. All the pointers are well appreciated. thank you.

EDIT: I heard similar prices too when i inquired at Checkered Flag In Hyderabad, the CD3100 was 19K+ and the cd 7200 MK II was 90K+, have no clue as to why they are that expensive, even i want to know the answer like esteem lover.

CD3100 is available in Bombay quite freely for about 17.5k, and the 7200 is for Rs. 48000/-

congratulations yayaati!! love the display. abhinav says its better than his own HU. now thats saying something!
the cd7200MKII and the cd5030 and the cd3200 are better bought in the USA and ordered here. their prices are too prohibitive in india!

As per the quotes that I got from various dealers in Mumbai, CD3100/3200 are in the whereabouts of INR 13-15k/- while CD5030 is not available yet in India. Did not enquire about 7200 as I knew its out of my budget

However, it has been launched for sure. It is included in the 2009 brochure and appears for $299 on Crutchfield. (I think I saw it for $250 in some 'bundle'd offer elsewhere as well)

bhai please pm the linky if you happen to find it again the 250$ price is a steal deal for this HU

Well the whole reason for not choosing the 3100/3200 models is they are motorised, and the face plate has a very very thin wire strip that bends every time the face plate is opened, and this wear and tear will eventually break this wire strip as it happened in my PIONEER 6850(got it fixed though), which is the whole reason for me looking out for a new HU that doesnot sport a motorised face plate HENCE Eclipse's CD 5030 and not the 3100/3200.

Well this is the down side of the motorised face Plate HUs, one just has to live with it.(the emoticon for my case)

the mighty 7200 MK II is totally out of my budget, and if i am going for this, i guess i will have to live with the motorised panel too.

Once again congrats yayaati, and this thread is actually helping me find my HU thanks guys.
