ok. wired the sub in series. now the sub seems to give more definition to the bass. however the bass is hard and kicks hard. i would like the bass to be softer, with the definition and the space around it to increase. does that make sense?

Get a 0.8 to 0.9 cu.ft sealed enclosure for the sub.

Check the gain setting once. If all correct, I think, now it needs some tuning.. You don't want your sub reproduce all the frequencies it can. Set the LPF (low pass filter) properly so that your sub it asked to reproduce the frequencies that you desire.

compos i am running are bull cs525.75

http://www.bullaudio.de/downloads/pd...sche_daten.pdf

you can find the same on page2.

@nitrous, i think have more like space 1.3 cu. ft. or more , but the velocity (i think) came with the box. it is a huge one and is very heavy.

edit: is there a thread or an article that teaches you how to tune the system? i dont want to mess up with the gain settings, (i think it is a tad too low, then again i dont want the sub to go all boomy).

after wiring it in series, i have not touched the amp settings, it is the same as before, when it was working with one coil.

Do you mean midrange. THere is very little vocal information in the "mid bass". if you can set the HPF of the amp (feeding the front speakers) to 80Hz or so to roll of the midbass and push the vocal out a bit more.

to small. this sub would need 1cu. ft. + even aperiodic.

@kk,
of the 4 terminals in the amp for output, 2 terminals are used for the front compos.

the other 2 terminals are bridged for the sub. The sub is wired as under.
