Talking It's an ID!

Guys!
I sincerely hope you are taking all these beating around the bush as some good sport and nothing serious. Please, it just adds some fun and spice to the thread and anyone who reads this after a year or so will also get some kicks, I hope.

OK, then.....
As many of you have guessed it correctly, the Sub we have decided finally for this setup is an ID. Image Dynamics!

Still have doubts?? This will talk louder;

Wink And a MAX!!!

It is an IDMAX 12!!

Some friends were kind enough to guess the BIG 'un to some really BIG thingys. Some day!! I will grow up to get those. I almost hit the O again after seeing that Hertz and then the thoughts of some 15" IDQ and Max etc.. Phheeeewww!!!

For now, nothing that BIG. Just a simple IDMAX. Will be running it from the Audison LRX 4.1 at 1Ohm. Dumping that full 900W RMS (manufacturer's claim) will be fun and good I think.
For me, this is a really big and completely unexpected. I had braced myself for a set of IDQs or a Hammer or two. That's all. Even when we discussed about the Max, never did I really expect to go this route. Then.... as always, the depths of ICE, the fun, the kicks and satisfaction! All has caught me.

I am posting some pics of the sub out of the box.
We all like it when it is installed, right? Post install pics will come once it goes inside the car.

And makes everything around it look small!

That sums up everything at the equipment side.
Let's move on and see where the install has reached now. But before that, Let me thank you all for being an integral part of this thread. Catch some good sleep. Will see ya all tomorrow!

It's a D4, then there must be two of these, only then amp will see 1 ohm load.
If that's not the case, how will amp see 1 ohm load in D4?

Thumbs up Awesome!

Have been following this thread closely, must say the list of stuff going in, it's just Awesome, honestly awesome is an understatement.
Way to go. Everything is just perfect.
I suppose you spending close to 35-40K for that ID max. One sub that I would have wanted to see there and would have complemented those Rainbow Comps perfectly i feel, MOREL ULTIMO 12".
That's one sub I prefer to other and plan to have some day.

Nevertheless very well chosen components there.
Awaiting for more installation pics.

doc, 2 d4s will powered at either 1 or 4 ohms. 1 d4 can be wired at 2 ohms or 8 ohm.
Zak 1 ohm? Looks like 1000 watts made you forget the wiring maths. :-D

So you finally let the cat outta the bag, eh Zak?

Folks, there is a bit of confusion here, and I have a fair idea how it came to be. From what I know, there is a single IDMax d2v3 going into the install. The sub will be wired to present a 1 ohm load, and the LRx will feed it 900w RMS at that load.

Zak is far away from where the install is happening and he himself could not snap the pics of the sub. The pics were probably snapped and sent to him. The sub that was taken out for the snapping of the pics must have been a D4 unit. C'mon guys, give everybody a break. The final sub will be a D2 unit and it will be wired at 1 ohm.

Unless of course, Zak has something else up his sleeve that I don't know of yet.
