6000W RMS=10*6000=60000W PMPO.that will kill all the living things inside that car including the humans.i think they must have built it to kill the lift-off noise of the SS Discovery.

Hey Guys,

Dont know why you guys are so shocked. Check out this link for this amp. This a class D digital amp. I have had 3000W of RMS power in my esteem earlier . Guys I guess you need to read up a lot on car audio. I have been distributing some of the finest brands in the world here in India such as Earthquake, a/d/s/, ORION, Precision Power to name a few.

They make some serious kick ass amps and speakers.

Just the other day, I saw a Kicker subwoofer at FX Audio. The dealer claimed it was 5000W RMS and costs INR 100,000

Merve, I don't think your calculation is right there. PMPO is sometimes between 5 to 10 times the RMS, but there is no standard formula to arrive at that.

Imagine, the so-called Hi-Fi, powerhouse, home theater junk rated at 5000 or 10000 PMPO would be too good to be true.

Forget the roof, I am surprised the car is intact.

How OT are we here by the way?!

Heh the rating of any amp that claims to be 1000 watt or something like that needs to be taken with a pinch of salt. Unless its a gigantic bryston or halcro or something of that sort costing a small fortune, the rating is probably full of gas.

ROC you quite underestimate the car audio amplifiers.

LBM: I think ROC is referring to amplifiers from con job brands, in the context of the mini compo systems that rockstar referred to. I am sure he is aware that there are indeed serious car amps that are built like the Brystons or Gryphons.

Yup... I don't deny that there would be some serious car amps too... but anything that advertises 2000-3000W and is not much bigger than a JBL 75.4 is most definitely a con job.

I hardly see any 2000-3000 watts ones. Except the fake alpine which is 4800 watts. Rest every other common company specs are quite justified.
