I think I will stick to the setup mentioned below. Only thing am still thinking is whether or not should i go for JBL rear coaxials? If the prices fits within 35k then i will buy else will in the future upgrades.

As another member of the keep to the budget squad ( would you belive I've beat the temptation twice?)
I'd like to say, Having an amp is good, but dont go overboard on it, unless you like to listen to your music LOUD or want good dynamics. I'm running 4 speakers off my HU and have an amp just for my sub and have used only minimal damping. sounds adequate for most stuff. Cost ? ~33k . Helps that i have an alpine HU though .

PS: why is it that a 35k config still doesnt have a sub in it ?

PPS: i vote for a HU + speakers + 2ch + sub. You can get the second amplifier for the comps and the damping later.

Can somebody through light on the importance of sub? I assume it to make the sound louder and give that thump (important for bass lovers?).

I will call them up for availability of set up and also prices. And will see how much I have left?

1. Add low end to existing speakers. Most 6" midbass woofers dont do much below 60Hz. A few will make some rumble at 40Hz but at low SPLs or it wont be clean.

2. Reliving the 6" midbass the duty of producing bass and hecne the midbass is reproduced more accurately.

3. Over all higher SPLs are acheived becuase the small 6" Midbass speakers cant really push as much air as a big 12" sub.

This is the quote Autofusion guys have given -

HU - Kenwood 6539 - 9k
Front Components - Illusion Electra - 6k
Amp - JBL GTO1004 - 12.3k
Wiring an damping -
Damping - 2k (not sure which brand)
JBL wiring kit - 3.5k
Installation - 1.5k (if I put rear coaxials then it will be 3k)

It comes to 34.3k

But I was wondering why JBL amp costs 12.3k (this is with B&W) whereas Nitrous was saying it costs around 8.5k (not sure what it is)

If there is 4k difference I would prefer doing it at place where Nitrous is suggesting.

Please advise?

please buy the amp from elsewhere. the prices you got are slightly on the higher side.
also, do not get the jbl wiring kit, there could be fakes. get the wiring kit from ground zero.
the other stuff looks decent.

Are all the prices on higher side or only the amp?

I will ask for Ground Zero wiring kit. I think am being taken for a ride since am a noobie. I will check praises with TMC.

Can somebody give me (PM me) number of blueraven? I will check out the prices there?

My car will be at EVO tomorrow for some work. You can demo my install if you like and see if you find the need for rear speakers.

This is pretty much what I have:
  • Blaupunkt Bahamas mp46
  • DLS 5.25" Front components
  • Scosche eFx HDC6900 6X9 Coaxial Speakers
  • JBL CS 60.4 4-channel amp.

why not get your entire install done at evo instead of even going to auto fusion. blueraven is a reputed installer and a great guy. he's done a lot of installs in blr. try searching for them on tbhp and then pm the people who got them done.
makes sense!

TMC has quoted 9.5k with B&W for JBL GTO1004 (TMC doesnt have other products (no kenwood HU, Illusion electra compos and damping kit) in the setup, else would have gone there itself). In which case, can I buy this here and go to Autofusion and ask them to install it?

If all prices are on higher side, will prefer going to some other shop.

Speaking of BHPians selling their used stuff, there is a JBL 75.4 amp for sale in the marketplace. Here's the link.

Worth taking a short at. But negotiate the price.

Spoke to EVO guys. Looks like they dont all the stuff (Kenwood 6539 and Illusion Electra compos).

I was thinking of buying these stuff at some cheaper place and get it installed at EVO.

Places in Bangalore where I can get all of these stuff at decent prices?

What say?

the prices coated to you by auto fusion are decent go with it.

in case you are not sure about the price of amp then don't buy it, will again say buy the gz or jbl amp that are in classified section you will not regret.
