From what I see there are 2 Clarion 1155 amps (1 in the trunk and one on the car seat) 2 DA amps but what are you doing with 2 7200 HUs?

BTW what is that speaker doing on top of the Alpine box in the car seat? Is that the OEM speaker?

Your sub is a SVC the Clarion amps are Monos. Are you intending to bridge the 2 mono amps for the sub? Now the 200A fuse starts making sense.

LOL.... Its just one set. Stacked it once in the boot for a photo. And then on the seat since the boot was supposed to be used by dad today.
2 of each would entail double the cost and THEN we would be talking MORE than half the value of the car. Guffaw.!

yes, its the fomoco oem speaker.

One sub. One amp. But not svc. Its a dual differential driver. (dvc)

I will be using the Clarion for the sub, and the Dls for the fronts..
Sorry for the confusion. ;-)

Franky, now how long we have to see photos of ICE in paper boxes in the boot and rear seats ? You have a good sense of keeping the thread on a pin, I must say.

I had no WIP photos till today. Here are some photos of the fibre glass enclosure for the sub woofer. It's complete.
Just needs finishing and carpeting/painting.

in my case, the larger the enclosure, the better the sub is going to sound (till a limit of 1.6 cu ft. sealed)

i guess the simplest way would be to take a can of water and pour it into the enclosure.

if more water goes in (than required) then great, but if the enclosure is smaller than required, then generous amounts of polyfill.

this time the enclosure is built more for convenience, since the entire boot space has to be usable too ;-)

In my case, Ajay knows what he is doing. The volume is about 1-1.2 cu. ft. as recommended by the guys at JBL.

tweeter pods are going to be in FG. Not an elaborate affair, though. The pods will be placed in such a way that the passenger side tweeter is facing me, and vice versa.

LOL. Now this is something I just didn't notice.
More than a coffin, I daresay this looks like a dead body wrapped in a sack cloth. Brrrrrr. I am not looking at those photos again, till the damn thing is finished!

Looks perfect Frank. How many layers of FG has been put in ?
Are you planning to use some damping in it?
I would suggest put noise kill atleast 2 layers in there and over it put a open cell foam with density around 25-30 with atleast 3/4 of an inch. This is would absorb any standing waves though with this shape I assume wouldn't be much but it wouldn't harm even if add one and will make the bass sound more smoother. Just my take on it.
Also, carpet would make it look stock but another suggestion would have been something called "Alcantara" I know a place which can get something exactly the same straight from Italy. It would look fabulous, will add to the beauty.

A basic question, Invinsible- Are standing waves withing the box a real concern for a subwoofer? I mean aren't box dimensions much smaller than wavelengths?

I have no clue about the last set of pictures ! Franky are you into some dental smuggling business too ? To top it all, everything is taken in the night, thats more scary to look at those pictures. Or by any chance, you posted the wrong pics in a public forum ?
