Boy, that's a lot of equipment!!

Are you sitting there supervising yourself? How much is the total labor charge for the install?

One suggestion, you could try to do some carpeting on the boot lid too, may be use a black carpet. Can hide all the aluminium look of the noisekill.
thank you abhi.
we should be powering up the system on saturday. mostly. If not, then Tuesday. Ajay's man friday needs some time off for Eid, hence the delay.
About the boot, I might hide the damping, but it looks ok without the cover too ;-)

I am mostly there, but I dont think there is any need to supervise the work. Skilled labour ;-)

Curious to see how the woofer installation takes place, still feels you may have to damp more specially on the woofer enclosure.

cheers! I have never seen such a good fit. The 5 x 7 adaptors are a boon.

I will be very disappointed if that is the case. I am literally CRAVING to have some good music in the car.

I dont think one needs to damp the enclosure. Fibre glass is very strong, and when you have 7-8 layers of FG, you don't need to damp it.

Fantastic work Frank bhai, this thread is getting better by the day! Those mid-basses look delicious and the installation looks very neat! Now waiting for the powering up anxiously and looking forward to your description of how the Alpines and the JBL sound!

This is truly turning out to be 'the big daddy reference thread' for all Fiesta owners - current and future ones like myself - looking to get top-class ICE in their rides!

One quick question- your sub will firing towards passenger-side (from driver's), instead of the typical firing towards the boot/latch/hatch. Why is it so- and does it help improve the bass in any way (better phase alignment etc.)?

You bet. Powering them up will be one of the biggest conquests for me. This upgrade is the BIGGEST ever (with a new car, new amp, new sub, new components) and I expect to have it powered up in 2-3 days (cant wait anymore)

I always noticed that there is no reference for people who buy a Fiesta and want to ICE it. Not just here, but around the world.
This thread breaks from that tradition and serves as a template for all!

A sub woofer is not a uni directional speaker, sir.
As a low frequency transducer, it just has to produce the (lower) frequencies that it is supposed to produce.
The direction it is aimed at should not have an effect on its quality/quantity.
In my case, we chose the least intrusive position, and something that was conducive to provide us with the right amount of volume required for the sub.

Every equipment selected is of a different brand. So credit goes to the selector. All the brand seems to be originating more or less from the USA including the car i suppose

In systems without time alignment it would - it sounds 'not integrated with the rest of the music'. The wave length of sound at low frequencies is an issue. Time alignment in your car corrects that.
