the 6990 are 6x9 and will fit in your rear deck. if you want speakers in your door you'd need to choose a 5-6" version. I would recommend you listen to a few other 6x9 speakers (I liked the Alpine 690A for example) before you pay.

Can you tell us where you want the "two" speakers. In the front or in the rear.

I would recommend the front doors. Get yourself a mid-level 6.5", if it fits in your door or 5 1/4" 3 way co-axials or component speakers.

For the HU you can get a Alpine 9830 (9851, 2005 model) or Pioneer 5750 HU for around 5000 (I am not very sure abt the price, it could be around 7000 too, bit confused sorry). The Alpine will definitely be more expensive.

Buy the speakers here so that you can listen to different speakers and buy the one which your ears like.

Speakers around 3.5k

5750 around 7k. As far as I know, the Alpine HU is over 12k.

The 6990 is kinda an all in one. It has very high range tweeters, as well as mids and good bass.

The 6990 are oval 6X9 speakers. They cant be installed in front doors, where he wants them.

BTW, Vandan, I checked prices for you....Viper is right, the 5750 is 7000 but you can also buy the 4750 for around 5,700. take a look at both of them and decide.

Sorry, subzero, did not notice the front speakers req.

CAN be fitted, anything can, but will involve cut'n'paste on a scale Microsoft never considered.

4750 is enough, actually. 5750 has a lot of extra tweaks that intrigued me, but you may not need.

I think Blau, Pio, Sony all have front speaker for about 6K. Say for 12K you can get a simple HU and front speaker system. for 2K more you can add rear speakers and install costs. so a starting budget would be about 14-15K

Opera house is the place in that case. Tons of shops side by side in one of the lanes, you can go from store to store and check out different products and prices, but be prepared to fight for parking. (goodluck)

Hi Vandan,

The Indica stock setting is for a pair of 4" speakers on top (in the dash) and a pair of 5.25" speakers in the front door. With an additional mounting ring you could even squeeze in a 6" but you'd have to lose the original Indica grill.
4 speakers in the front wont sound bad at all. You could put a 6X9 in the rear parcel shelf, but the parcel shelf is rather thin ABS and WILL vibrate.
Cheers
