thanks mac,
that's much clearer!!! talk about getting confuesd when asked questions ..
so that would be the best wayto go isn't it? driving the infinity 6X9 by 504, (for which the speakers would cost me 6-7K and the amp should be 3.5K right?)
if that's the case what's the best sub you would reco, (not too costly). and which can be driven by the same amp!!!

yes jk, thats the price given by the radiowarehouse guy.

Default How to check fakes.

Sam, Navin Mc and others,

can anyone of you give some tips on how to differentiate between original & fakes, of JBL speakers. Any specific sign, hologram, font color etc to look out for, when buying in delhi/noida.

Because, Delhi is very good at fake products, and any novice can easily get fooled, if not fully aware.

one of my colleague has bought JBL 6X9 for rear and i was just checking out, it has everything one looks out for, like good looking quality, barcodes, logos, etc but one thing which i noticed was "Made in China" tag, what say Sam, i think its fake

you just want a sub or a sub in a tube or the box one?

pio with custom made boxes are the cheapest.

u want 6x9 and sub at the back?

u need mdf made for the car. maybe 800-1000rs. see that you dont haev a airleak. Please search for IB (infinite baffle) installs in this forum.

I am not sure abt which sub you can get, but i think it will cost you less than 3k

folks - Just joined this group.. I am based in Bangalore and work in the IT sector. I have been following the Posts closely for over a month and have in a way been influenced by some of the posts here while deciding on the car to buy.

I am picking up a Baleno LXi new variant from Pratham Mtrs. I have the option of taking a 15K cash discount or using the same amount for accessories (Baleno LXi does not come with Mp3/CD player) as part of the prevailing scheme. If I were to use the 15K for accessories and pick up a Mp3 / CD player , then Pratham would fit a Sony Player.

What would you recommend ?
a) Opt for Sony
b) Custom fit a player post purchase...if so please recommend a brand and the supporting audio components

My budget for this is NOT more than 15K.

Cheers
dimwit

for 15k: 7k HU ( sony/pio) + 8k for speakers would do.

yes i may have to put in a separate MDF possbily a 3/4" thick tray and have to take out a beam which supports the tray on the top.
but before that i wanted to finalize on which sub to opt for. i don't want to spend too much on that so a budget sub with the 504 (sony amp) would be the best bet along with the infinity 6X9s. or is there another option which would let me reduce the rear spears cost as well.

Lightbulb

will the one on the car (an odd one at 5X7) which has ford stickers on the mags be enough .. if im adding a sub and an amp
then, i'll stick to the 504 + the current rear speakers and a budget sub
would that be good enough?
