I hope you read my post link. I do believe i answered your question about the types of boxes we make. We make many boxes for many people with many tastes. I also corrected you on the fact that there was a rubber surround on the woofer in the tube.

I would also like to inform you (again) that the JBL tube is perhaps for a different kind of consumer. That said, you will be ahppy to know that I have one in my mitsu lancer. I chose this product out of all the products i have access to. Both gunbir and JB(autophile) have heard it. I would say, nicely tuned, you cannot find a better ENCLOSED subwoofer product at 6500/- This is also our best selling product in subwoofers. Possibly your demonstration situation was poor and failed to impress you.

I would also at this point like to point out that the highlighted part of your statement was strong and uncalled for. I refuse to believe that you are not aware of that.

The wonderful and exciting thing about life in general is that you don't have to agree with my opinion, nor I, with yours. Therefore ta-da and toodle-oo and a little nyah nyah.

Here is my experienced recommendation - buy a product you like and don't buy one you don't like.

Hey esteem_lover, since I have talked a lot about soomoku here, I guess its obvious that you are referring to me as one of the "brothers" while audiophanatic being another one. But if that was the truth, then why the hell should I provide links to other public articles mentioning websites of a bunch of other indian brands? shoudn't have I considered them as "toughest" competitors? how would you justify that? (...let your imagination flow! )

I feel the same about audiophanatic. If he (or she, I don't know) was upto a promotion then probably he wouldn't have praised JBL brand by mentioning that they produce great products and would never use appreciative words like "JBL class", now what does that indicate? I don't think its promoting, certainly not!

hi santosh,
that remark was not meant for you. though i have seen & read a few of your posts, i still have not read one with sumoku in it. so certainly it was not meant against you. the real ones, they will know who iam talking about.

I feel the same as santosh on this one. I honestly feel that there are some anti-soomoku "brothers" here. I dont know the reason for this. When a JBL sound bad, it is ascribed to a bad installation. But when it come to soomoku, even a year old experience still holds.... Come on guys there is ceratinly more to this than what meets the eye. Many of SAMs posts are really supportive of JBL. I genuinely feel that his post are more promotional here than anybody else's.

I retract my "refuse to believe you" statement. But here is what i feel. Not every thing that is best selling is necessarily good. Take sony for example !

It's not an anti-Soomoku feeling that we harbour, it's the increasing irritation with people popping up here with the persistence that you certainly are displaying, to get people to believe rather forcibly, that it is a 'wow' product when most brothers who heard it has said quite the opposite. I don't think you should let that bother you, because after all it's just their personal opinion.

(Speaking only for myself, I don't know about my brothers, I don't even know who they are).. it has not wowed me, so I'm just saying that. I am sorry I cannot specifically go to Pune to listen to the gym, and the gym is not my best idea of a listening environment (with no reference to grunting sweaty bodies). On the other hand, to listen to Cadence, I surely do.

And if vijayshetty is to be believed (which fortunately he is not), then Sumokoo is a scheming company that has no values, just picks up existing products from reputed brands, labels as their own and resells. That is certainly not very graceful. So it better not be compared to much out there, including JBL. For it takes a lifetime to build a legacy and a handful of unscrupulous individuals to try and take it apart.

By the way, will my brothers please identify themselves? Mum's sick and has promised never to cane you guys for peeping up the neighbour's skirt, so please come home.

I agree sony had an edge in the past, but that is no longer justified now. But somehow in india majority of people still continue to have very high regards for them.

haha.. Soomoku has invaded this thread also and trying to provoke the brothers.Show some restraint guys..this forum is quite healthy and devoid of silly arguments where ppl proclaim "mine is bigger than thou "

@Audiofanatic: you say that many of SAM's posts are really supportive of JBL.

Have been closely following the ICE section for the last year or so, i have not read anything that suggests me that sam is trying to market/ sell/ promote JBL products by being really supportive of JBL( if that is what u meant by supportive!).

The mods should do some moderating i guess.

B&T, how many brothers can you indentify who have actually heard the product under consideration? audiophanatic has already mentioned, and I repeat that it is not at all fair to judge a product based on an year (or more) older products by the same manufacturer, and "rather forciably" applying it to the current one. Simple reason is that the two may be entirely different in terms of materials and technology etc. What about your own experience? Is your opinion based on their 12" with so called class-x amp? If your answer happens to be negative, then IMHO you don't have any moral right even to get irritated with others

Can you tell me exactly which "other" thread has been invaded by soomoku?

I am surprised because I had done an exhaustive search to find related information. Then I found only one thread and I tried participating there. Honestly, me too would have liked to stick to the same thread but since it has been closed, I am posting questions/opinions here which I thought is the next best candidate having reference to soomoku...

Santosh there were a few more threads where VikramShetty had posted about Soomoku & some discussion had been done. But to keep the forum non-commercial the posts & the discussion was deleted by the mods. That is probably why you could not see it.
