Default DVC wiring query

hi folks,

Can we bridge all four channels of a 4-Ch Amp to power one DVC sub?
If so how do we do it?

And..How good are the velocity series Subs (10" or 12")
Are they comparable to Brands like Polk/Infinity/JBL/Hertz ?

Thanks in advance

yes you can dedicate all 4 channels to DVC sub.

Velocity subs are good , but put them only in sealed box !! i learnt this hard way !!

You'll have to match the gains using the multimeter method.
And the 4-ch can't match the performance of a mono(even if the total wattage is equal).

If your sub is 4 OHM DVC then you can, but if your sub is 2 ohm DVC then your amp should be stable at 2ohm on bridge mode.

Velocity subs are good.

You might want to read this http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/ask-gu...implified.html for help in setting the gains right!

Hi, This is my Amp. Blaupunkt - Amplifiers - GTA-Series - GTA 480 (210W x 2 @4 Ohms)

and i am planning to get this Sub Blaupunkt - Loudspeakers - Velocity - Vw 800 (200W RMS)

Now the nominal Impedance says its a 2x2 ohm DVC.

Can i connect all four channels to this Sub ? Suggestions wil be much appreciated

Then, you'll have to wire the coils in series and give a 4-ohm load to the bridged channel of a 2/4 channel amp.

200W RMS is pretty easy for a single bridged channel. The cheapest 4-ch produce 160 RMS from a bridged channel.

Not really - I was able to find a kenny 8104 from globaleasybuy (ebay's india shipping) for around 7K-7.5K which is a good price to pay for a mono... taht too shipped in india after paying all duties etc...

And since the cost is more than 5K ebay will give some gift too The eBay Diwali Bonus
