Hey guys,

Just installed the following in my new Verna CRDI.

- MTX double woofer enclosure
- Morel Component (front)
- Morel 6x9 oval speakers (rear)
- Focal monoblock solid 1
- MTX Stereo Amp
- 4 Gauge main (Kicker wiring kit)

Btw, before anyone asks, this setup cost me 1.25 L.

Hi,
Congrats on the install.

I am also thinking of installing focal solid amps (4 & 1) in my car and would like to hear your opinion on the focal solid 1 you have installed. Also let me know the cost of the focal amp.

Thank you.

Firstly, I'll be able to provide you the breakup only in a day or 2. (My girlfriend gifted me part of the system so i need to ask her for the invoice and stuff.) Bear with me.

frankmehta, the installer is a guy in Chembur. I've been going to him for my car audio for quite a while now. Does a great job and I prefer places close to where I live.

drvplyevraftr, I'm very impressed with the solid 1. It sounds mature if you know what I mean. The power it provides is enormous. I also love the fact that is has a remote bass controller which I've installed under the dash. It comes in very handy especially when you shift between music genres.

Here are some more pictures of the setup.

I've also installed dynamat and other sound deadening materials in the doors and boot.

Just thought I'd tell you guys that the Pioneer head unit I've installed provides seamless iPod integration. I've connected the iPod directly via USB (not AUX)... So I don't need to fiddle around with the iPod directly anymore. You can scroll through artists, albums, playlists etc and start/stop/pause the player directly via the touchscreen LCD. The headunit also displays album art and song metadata.

Finally, the iPod doesn't need a separate charger. It charges directly while playing.

Looks like the Boot is full with speakers/box and other components - no place to keep luggages?
Anyway, well installed and great look.
Cheers

Which parts of the car have you damped with Dynamat?

And what are those two wires connected to the negative terminal of the stiffening capacitor? One seems to be going back to the fuse / distribution block to which the power is connected?!

MC,

Could you be more specific about the installer, name, contact details etc. I want to get ICE for my Swift zxi. Your crisp installation is added inspiration to drive down to Chembur as I was already thinking to go there this coming Saturday for Vkool install.
