[quote=mohitd;1646784LBM & B&T - Is it true that a sealed MDF enclosure produces bass tighter than a FG enclosure. I agree with Dj. I was hell bent on mounting the sub reverse but could not figure anything out as boot space was a problem.[/QUOTE]

A sealed box is a sealed box. a FG box can be made as stiff and non-resonant as a MDF box. in fact the FG box will be lighter (will store lesss energy) and can be moulded into curves something not entirely possible with MDF/ply boxes.

if you are reversing the sub you will need a smaller box volume as the volume displaced by the subwoofer will not not need to be accounted for.

Congratulations @mohitd! I am sure your system sounds wonderful. A couple of quick questions.
Where did you get the dash-kit from & how much did it cost?
Thanks in advance for your reply.

Thanks, @mohitd. That seems a fair price. An accessory shop in Ballygunge quoted 5K for a 2 DIN dash-kit.

I have a feeling I just might be knowing this shop.
A 2DIN dash kit should cost the same.

What is that "Slave in" beside the "Input" of your Clarion amplifier?

Some amps can be daisy chained. The first amp is called the Master the seond amp (the one being fed from the first amp) is called the Slave.

Did you check with your dealer, whether they can take your stock head unit (just lying in your custody may become waste product in due course)?
