The 3011 will work but you should get a bigger amp for the Illusion sub.

What is the difference between A/B class, D Class and T class amps?

For driving a sub, which is better?

Class AB is the conventional way of designing amps. Simply put it uses different sections to amplify the top and bottom position of a sign wave. Class AB is around 70% efficient which means that 30% is lost as heat.

Class D on the other hand converts the input sign wave into pulses whose width depends on the amplitude (pulse width modulation) this creates a system which is highly efficient (90%) downside is introduction of noise. Hence class D are more suited for low frequency amplification.

Coming to class T its a differrent flavour of class D but is said to work for the entire spectrum.

By improving the efficiency of an amplifier one can get more usable power for a fixed voltage/current.

And to answer your question yes Class D amps available in market is usually designed for subs. And gives much more usable power than class AB.
