Default ICE for new SX4

Hello,

MY SX4 ZXi Auto is getting delivered tomorrow evening. Inbuilt ICE is not good at all.

My dealer Sai Service Pune said can't to much with ICE unless I replace inbuilt player. Eg. Vibe Slick System Pack 2.1 Promo Pack - Car Audio Direct is not possible to fit into SX4 due to output/channel constraint of player.

Only change, we finally settled is replacing OEM 6" Inch speakers to JBL GT5-S265 ones.

I have budget of 15-20 K more for ICE. I am not fond of loud music but looking for quality sound.

I visited Poona Motors & got lost. Owner of Poona Motors said what dealer suggested doesn't make sense & he can upgrade ICE without changing player. Only condition ' I need to believe him & let him design new system'.

Gurus, can you suggest what kind of up-gradation I should go for? I don't want to change player? I am really naive as per as 'Car Audio' is concerned.

Best regards,
Devendra

Change the 4 speakers + put an amp and a sub at the back: will make a significant difference. I did that, and the SQ has improved tremendously.

If you buy components (set of mid-bass + tweeters), crossovers are supplied with the set.

Here I recommend not to go with what shop owner suggests you. I personally recommend you to go with what TBHP suggests!

No doubt that Poona Motor have good stuff and he orders material what you need but they not able to devote proper time. If you show that you don't know anything about audio setup then all accessories shop owner makes best use of it so first finalize the list before visiting any shop.

Thanks Kumar & DerAlte.

Gurus,

As I already invested in JBL Speakers. Should I stick to JBL amp, woofer & other accessories or other brands are also fine?

Regards,
Devendra

Getting JBL GTO608C for front. Sai Service is ready to exchange Front speakers with these components. Its going to Self Driven car. Should I replace Passenger side also or JBL 265 speakers are fine?

I assume you mean the rear speakers. Yes the 265 are fine for the rear.

Finally ICE for my SX4 : HU as is, Front: JBL GTO608C components & Rear JBL 265 Speakers. Result is great as compared to Maruti supplied setup & definitely not awesome. I think, I should upgrade HU (inbuilt Nippn player) & add amplifier in future.
