Default Have official pioneer HU prices fallen?

A year or so ago, shopping around for Pioneer HU's in TVM yielded prices for the 3090/4090 in the 8~9k range, while the 3050/4050 cost 5~6.5k

Last week, Price quotes put the 2150/3150 in the 5.5k~6k price bracket, while 3190's were offered with bill and warranty for 6.5k

Have the official prices fallen? Has pioneer started fighting back the grey imports?

This is probably good news. but since brands like Pioneer, Clarion & Alpine are now sold officially in India (not sure about Clarion & Alpine), why is that the high end headunits like the P880, DXZ785, 9887, etc sold officially here? Or are they?

Recently I enquired entry level HU for my Dad's car and the difference in price between grey and with bill is only Rs. 300 - 400.
