Default Swift Need ICE Upgrade - Help Needed

Hello ICE gurus,
The Present ICE set is only the HU – Pioneer DEH 5950 and the frond coaxial Speakers. I would I like change that coaxial speakers to back door and add a components to the frond and add a subwoofer to the rear parcel tray 10” or 8” (Since I don’t want to compromise on the boot space). Now my questions are
1. What would be the ideal size of the subwoofer which fits on the rear parcel tray? ( I would like to add a 10”)
2. What kind of amp should I go for 2 channel or 4 channel ?
I would like to know about the Bull Audio speaker availability in Bangalore. My budget would be around 12-13K. Kindly suggest me the right combination including the brand and the pricing.

Amp Kenwood 845 or JBL 644(5k)
Front Components JBLGTO 608c or Boston Play Smart (4.5k)
Rear coaxials (existing)

Hi,
I'm butting in, but I have a similar dilemma..
Running a Pioneer 5190UB in my swift with Infinity ref 6030cs upfront and infinity ref 9633i at the rear on a plank.

Pondering on add-on amp and sub.. the issue that comes in is the boot space.. Almost frozen on a Polk Audio DB840 sub (which would need an enclosure which means loss of space) and JBL/Kenwood 4 channel amp.

Free air options if any one has please do tell and also at the same time what do you think about the combination?? I don't really need hard hitting bass.. the infinity ref 9633i are pretty hard themselves, so just need the additional thump which I think the 8" would deliver well!! Or should I go for a 10"?? Found a MA Audio 10" sub for 6.5K.. so crossing my budget by almost 3K all in all (Sub, Amp, Monster Cabling + additional RCA)

I am not a fan of free air subs, like many others on the ICE section. You could consider a sub in sealed enclosure or tube, based on your taste; disconnect it when you need additional boot space, as simple as that.

I would recommend a 10" or 12" in a sealed box - a boxed sub would be teh best option(I think JBL,Polk and RF have them)

Default Swift audio config

Hi all, I seek advice on a decent audio setup for the swift for my friend who just purchased a new swift (base model). after some searching, I came up with a list which needs scrutiny from the audio veterans of team bhp. One thing fixed is - the Head unit -it's only kenwood. Can anyone give the pricing for the HU models mentioned?

1) Head Units - Kenwood KDC-X9006U/KDC-BT7539U/KDC-MP6539U/KDC-X8009U
2)Front components - JBL 6'' GT5 S265 C 2 way components (6 inchers) or JBL 660GTI 2 way components (6.25 inchers)
3)Rear Coaxial - JBL GT5-S 396 (6'' x 9'')
4)Amp - JBL GTO 1004

now I don't know how good this might be, so please advise. Also, Is there a decent subwoofer which wont take up boot space?

Finally, before the thread rolls on - my friend has set a budget of around 20 k. So do keep that in mind. Please give me an item wise breakdown of the approx cost.

You will not be able to get the X9006U (x991) in India. I and several others in this forum have tried a lot but all in vain. I am not sure about
the availability of X8009U. If you do manage to find a X9006U, please
ping me as well.

You could instead go for Kenwood X7013U (x693) or XBT8013U (x993).

I think the X7013U (x693) retails around 12.5 - 13k in India.

You want to choose between these?

Talking hey

are those incomparable? I mean - I am looking for suggestions here - please give your valuable opinions :-) and I need them a bit fast.
audio system wise - does it make sense to go for an all-kenwood setup or is it better to mix and match?

The head unit I am looking for - should be a single din with usb support and in the range of 7-9 k

The GT5 is the entry level product from JBL while the 660Gti (~75K) is the top of the line. It's like comparing a Nano with a ferrari.

I would suggest 608C for the components, absolute VFM for ~4K.

Perhaps a all JBL GTO setup if budget permits, the GTO1004 + GTO1214 + JBL GTO608C. To me this would be more than perfect for a budget setup. The amp is a very power full amp and capable for the sub-woofer. You might have to increase the budget just a little bit if your 20k included the HU aswell.

ascertain :
I personally think the S644 JBL 4 channel is a lot better than that M845 amp you have considered,
Focal compos for 5200 ? which one ?
Player is fine, but even that Rockford Coax with Focal is probably a hotch potch combo,
so what type of music are u into ?
How do you like your treble ? prominent or laid back ?

I would not use the word bright as 'bright' is very very subjective from person to person.

Lightbulb hi

It would indeed be very kind if you could suggest a decent config for my friends swift. He mostly listens to pop music - not on very high volumes, but when a gang trip comes up (and his car becomes the taxi) loud music with bass is an essentiality. Budget is important as the 25 K i mentioned is all that he has for the ICE. Could you suggest rear coax + front compos which would work nicely?. with approx pricing
