Which sub? or which sub+amp Combo?
for Swift HU Pioneer 7750.

Like the bass tight and loud. = BOX

Autophile, Gunbir, Navin, and Sam, all others not excluded. - your takes please.
1. jbl tube 6k + sony 502z (2.5 -3k)
2. jbl tube 6k + blaupunkt PA275 ( 3.8k)
3. jbl box 8.9k () + sony 502z (2.5 -3k)
4. jbl box 8.9k () + blaupunkt PA275 ( 3.8k)
5. hertz ES250D 6.3k + sony 502z (2.5 -3k) + money for box

u can try pio sub + custom box

blaupunkt 12inch box was 7k i guess.
and for kicker 12inch tube - 8k

it seems blaupunkt PA275 would be a better choice as it pumps out 200W in bridged mode.

and since my knowledge is now much better coz i am almost 24/7 inthis forum, i would advice u to spend 2k plus on good wiring kit for teh sub.

I would take the 275 mated to the JBL tube that would mean 9.8K. Then tune the port in the tube.

for me: 275 + the jbl box. tightbass for me. and some boot space at the same time.

i think he should spend some money for the cables too anyway, and hence 10k wont be enough...unless he goes for IB setup

Which would give more boom boom, sub in tray or sub in ported box( in boot)?
Is it adviced to do free air installation for Kicker 12" sub, model no: 05C124

Is it true that sub installed in the tray requires less power to get bass into the cabin as compared to ported box in the boot of the car?
The JBL tube in gray comes for 4.8k in Delhi, lowest price I have come accross so far!

Wo! Thanks for the options....

I think PA 275 Blau Amp sounds good enough. And I will be going for a box setup....Problem here in Hyderabad is if I take a custom box for a selected wooofer. Boxes are made of Ply/mdf and just one or two holes in them.....What volume, no one knows, and why just plain holes...no one knows......

And as for the JBL box, at 8900 stretches the budget.(As i said in the Risks thread, I had a budget of just around 15-20000, and see I've already spent 25,000/- and the sub+amp takes it to total of Rs. 35,000/-)

Let me see, arey this JBL is not available in grey kya? or some pio in a box? Did anyone hear out the Blaupunkt that has been suggested in the box?

And can these boxes be kept as detachable ones so that I can keep them home when i require more boot space?

With your budget in mind.... I would suggest Pioneer 306C for 2.7k and a sealed MDF enclosure for another 1 grand. So that takes the sub to 3.7k.... The Blaupunkt amp is around 3.8k, so that makes it 7.5k.... Leaves you 2.5 for wiring and stuff!

Problem is the guy having Blau, JBL, Alpine et all has no Pio
And the other who has Pio has no JBL, Alpine and Blau!!!

So can't demo, Pio and JBL/Alpine together.

waise this guy was suggesting Alpine E type 12" sub for Rs. 6,500/- Bill & W and PA 275 Blaupunkt amp. And an mdf box for the sub. Yeh kaisa rahega!

well the blaus are pretty hard to source here in the local market these days donno why..or maybe its just the dealers trying to show low stock to boost up the sales of the sonys and the rest i guess..

what is bass boost of a amplifier?

you people adviced pio6100f for powering the rear speakers and sub. This amp does not have bass boost (guruji log must be aware of this). Is bass boost very much required in an amplifier to drive the subwoofer.

Does the absence of bass boost feature in pio 6100 still make it a better amp than blau GTA470 and JBL CS50.4?

Bass boost will amplify certain frequencies (low) that would give you a kick rather than all frequencies equally, which a normal amplifier does. Its like the "loud" features of the head units. Most mono amps designed to run subs have bass boost. Since 6100F is not a mono amp, and is made for markets where its used to power speakers, thus it doesnt have bass boost. However its still a good VFM amplifier. Does a great job, and is still better than JBL, and Blaus.... If budget permits you can go for Sony SD series mono with the Pioneer... else just go with the Pioneer. Its good enough!
