Rear: a pair of 6x9 like the Alpine 690A or Infinity 9612i will provide you with some bass and rear fill. Budget 4K.

Amp: Sony 504 at about 5K.

Wires and installation: 3K.

Budget = 15K.
i pretty much second that navin, thats with the speakers and wires..though i would love to see a better amp put in there..the blaupunkt pa-275 2ch t class amp should be way better than the 504 and it retails at around 3.2-3.6k..so why not check that out...as amps do make a difference...albeit u might end up paying 1-2k or so more..but it feels its worth it..

If the budget can be streched to include the Alpine 240 it would be great. The Alpine 240 and Infinity 4012 would sound lovely. Lush!

If you frequest the car audio / car stereo forums like i do you will find that Alpine electronics mated with Infinity speakers are a oft mentioned and much appreciated combination.

I use a JBL basstube in my lancer. Simply strapped to the back of the seat, in the boot. I like the sound.

@Navin -

In Fact GTO and Rtech loved the sound of the infinity kappa in the lancer. lol, RT toh refused to get out of the car for quite a while.

Viper dude. I would consider the Pioneer as a a system that is a bit bright. to tame that brightness I would consider an alpine amp (like the 240) and Alpine or Infinity speakers (Alpine 100A or Infinity 4012 in the front and Alpine 690A or Infinity 9612i in the rear).

Viper dude.
Dude,

You got a million answers, but no one really answered your questions lol, except me. I'm your only friend.
JBL speaker @ rear - Either GTO636e (6" round 3 way) for 3990, or GTO 936e (6X9 - Rs 4750/-)

Tweeters in the front - Well only tweeters are avaiable, GTO16Te for 2750/- but i do not recommend you put only tweeters. You need mids in the front, like a GTO426e - Rs 2500/-(unfortunately the only speaker that fits in an unmodified esteem is a 4" one)

You can choose to put a tube (cs1200T) for 6500/- or a Dual voice coil woofer (GTO1202D) for 5990/-. This will depend on what kind of sound you like and if you're willing to cut the car rear deck.
You will ofcourse need amplifier (s) to drive this equipment.

God Bless Africa!

No. I take my speakers very seriously! I would never abuse a speaker just because of you guys! I still feel sorry for Vivek's 6x9s living in that CCTB for so long. Thank god they got a good home. Maybe we should start the SPCAE. Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Audio Equipment.

Nooooo

I'm NOT opening the crossover. Incidentally Navin you would like it. It's got a swtichover for the tweeters, mild and dynamic.

Dude, now that JBL-Sam has provided you prices you will need atleast 1 4 channel amp to run all this.

Before we go that far we'd need to know what Pio HU model you got. Some HUs have 3 sets of pre outs, others allow you to use the rear RCA and rear Speaker out at one time. that is why we need to know.
