Yes, you will need a Line Output Converter.

Where would it be connected? How many of these?
Any brands or local ones are good enough?

Just 1 - it takes care of front and rear signals. Connected to the speaker wires (or speaker output) from the HU. Don't buy a local one - may suffer from resistor hiss.

Guys, today, I was at my installer's place getting the Autoform seat covers fitted. They are awesome.
Now, there, my dad was with me and he wanted to know about the upgrades planned in the ICE front. But, dad is strictly against changing the headunit.

For this, my installer showed me the mighty MS-8 and then, he showed me something much cheaper, MS-8's li'l cousin- Infinity IMS. This thing has an MRP of 20000 and is a sound processor. Now, on using it, would the sound quality improve? What would be the advantage?
I shall also get bluetooth phone connectivity and around 7 input options within the car with this.
Is it advantageous?
I shall be using the Blaupunkt Velocity VPA 4130 Pro amplifier with this.
The subwoofer is still not decided.
I need a subwoofer withing 6000-7000 rupees.
Would the GZ 30T be good enough?
Any other recommendations?

P.S.- DAMN IT!! Look at my budget go out of the window!

I it not when compared to MS-8. It is just a input selector nothing else. I think you can skip on this. Also it will not improve SQ which MS-8 can !!!

Oh my god!
How could my dad do this!
Boy O boy!
My dad has specified a new budget which is strictly 30000 +/- 2000. But, there is a condition, he is strictly against changing the head unit.
My listening tastes stay the same. lol!
Read the first post to know about my music tastes and have a good laugh at the budget mentioned there.
I need to use a subwoofer and an amplifier. The amplifier is DECIDED (not bought) which would cost somewhere close to 12000. And I have the components from my Zen which are fairly new and not required in my Zen.
With the remaining amount, what should I get?
Need your suggestions asap, I plan to get the installation done next weekend.

I am getting the 3sixty.2 on ebay for 390USD + 120USD for shipping.
Would I have to pay any duties?
Will the customs guys mind?

That's kind of the same price one would expect to pay in India, minus the Custom's duty headache.

Is it so?
The MRP as far as I know is 40000 rupees for the 3sixty.2. How much discount should I aim for?

My wife got her Alpine 650 for about Rs. 25K. I assume the 360 would be about the same.

Getting it down through your friend from US is by far the cheapest method known to get these kinda stuff.

For 40K, i would as well get a MS-8 brought from US by someone i know.
Yeah, the other option is getting the Audison Bitone from UK (retails close to 600 GBP)

Thanks for warning me about the warranty part.
Honestly, my father wouldn't be comfortable spending thousands on something which has no warranty.
What do I do then?
I have my front components in one hand, 30-35k rupees on my other hand and a car to ICE.
And yeah!
Dad is against changing the Headunit.

But why. The OE HU is so crappy and does not even look that great. Get a DVD touchscreen HU for 25K if your dad is keen on looks. Get an amp for 10K and power the existing components. Get a sub and maybe a mono later. You will have a weird sounding ICE if the OE HU is retained. I have heard it and I know how weird it sounds. Plus it can plan only CDs. The Aux is useless. Maybe as an informed TBHP-ian, you can convince your dad.
