Thumbs up Good 4" Components

Dear fellow members,
i have a modest ICE setup in my esteem.

1. Pioneer DEH-4190 SD
2. Front Polk Audio 4" DB401
3. Rear Infinity Kappa G939i Components
4. Hertz 4ch EP4
5. Sub Polk Audio DB-1240 12" Enclosed
6. Audision AmpKit

The kappas and the sub are powered by the AMP

I am not at all keen on cutting a hole in my doors so that option is out.
Now which 4" components should i go for to be fitted in the dashboard and how should i power them i.e with HU or AMP

which amp?

awaiting your expert advice

My total budget is around 10K for front comps and amp

regards
vikram

Try Illusion 4" components - you may need to source them from Mumbai.

Get a good 2-channel (mono will be better, but will be costlier) for the sub, and shift the front and rear to the Hertz 4-channel.

Thumbs up

ok fellow members,

after a lot of thinking i have finally decided to cut the door trims and install the 6" Illusion electra Components .

Rammy has even offered to get second hand esteem trims and send them retro-fitted with the components.
I think i'll go for this but i am a little skeptical about the trims being damaged in courier from Mumbai to nashik.

i'll be powering the front 6" Illusion components and rear 6x9 Infinity with my Hertz 4ch EP4 amp.

Gurus please suggest a budget 2 channel amp for my Polk audio DB 360Watt woofer.

my budget is 5k for the amp.

vikram...

mods please change the thread name to " Esteem ICE- In Pursuit of Nirvana...."

I am glad you are going the 6.5 inch components route instead of the 4 inch one. The difference in sound will be pretty amazing. Illusion Electras are some of the best sounding speakers at that price.

Thumbs up Good VFM ICE for my Esteem

Dear fellow members,
I have finally decided to go for 6" components in front for my esteem.

I need a good VFM amp ( which would be better a mono amp or 2 channel amp) to power my 12" enclosed DB124 Polk Audio Sub rated at 320W

The front components and rear (infinity kappa 6x9 ) components are powered by my Hertx EP 4 380W amplifier.

Also suggest some food 6" components.

Budget for amp is 8-9k and that for compos is 6-7 k.

Awaiting your expert advice

regards
vikram
