Default NaviSurfer II UBU-3G (car pc in a box)

Navisurfer Car Computers

some highlights of this car pc in a box.

running on ubuntu
built in gps
250 GB HDD
3G sim slot for data connections, access to internet.
Dual din 7 inch touch screen display.

Almost sure that it can run XP, MMI maps for XP and that car pc interface(forgot the name)

ample input output ports (3*USB and micro SD card slot.)

add to this a USB OBD2 controller and you have almost everything that you need.

Have not heard of this product in TeamBHP, hence putting this up.

Centrafuse. Sure, it should be able to run XP/Vista/7 if it has an x86 processor. MMI I am not sure (will need a WinXX version, not a WiMo version), but definitely Garmin Mobile PC with an MMI Garmin format map.

What difference does it make to one if the computer is in the dash or elsewhere??
thats my question to anyone who wants this device.
and adding a good soundcard (PCI EXPRESS) is out of question in this technique.
For those doing a car pc for AUDIO only, this one is a FAIL.
For those doing it for kicks, well, 500 odd euros is just too much for kicks :-P
One can do a carputer for MUCH cheaper if you go by the DIY route.
pS: This one uses an inferior power supply and an OEM screen. I dread how the quality of the other stuff will be
