Description:
|
I have tried my best to describe my car as accurately as I can.
I had bought this car in 2005 from a known person. after a thorough research and lots of thought. I am the 'third' owner. This was with one of my colleague who has settled in abroad now. He had owned it for about 3 years and taken a great deal of care to maintain it. I don't know much about the original owner.
When I got this car, I changed the tires to MRF ZTX 165/65 (normally found in Tata Indicas) for better road grip. I got the AC overhauled and fitted her AC ducts with mesh grills to prevent Rats and Squirrels getting inside the cabin. I also put a new Amaron express battery. After a routine service, she was raring to go and has never failed me once since. I have driven around 17K after I bought her. No accidents (major or minor) and no dents on the body. Refer photos posted here.
She returns 15 KMs / Ltr in the city (Banglaore conditions) and has never given less than 19 KMs / Ltr (with 4-5 adults) on highway with AC on about 50% of the times. My running cost has never exceeded Rs.3 per KM. I have religiously serviced her every 5K Kms at a trusted garage and I never had problem in getting spares (atleast in Bangalore).
PROs:-
- Silky smooth power steering and AC
- Excellent fuel economy.
- 2000 and later Matiz's came with high compression Suzuki MPFI engines with knock sensors. They can take premium fuels and perform better.
- Suspension is in great shape. Better ride quality compared to Altos, Zens and Santors.
- Comes with basic Daewoo FM/Cassette player. Two front tweeters and only one speaker in the rear. But adequate.
- A great second car. Suites ladies, elders and the novice drivers.
- Read the 'Mouthshut' reviews to know more about this gem of a car.
- No problems for procuring the spares. They are not expensive either.
CONs:-
- Daewoo is no more around :(
- "Image/Status" (if you really care)
- Second gear is bit notcy to engage
The reason for me to sell this car is I am upgrading to a Sedan.
I have developed a liking for this car and so are my family members. Parting with it will be difficult. But I have no extra space to park a second car and no one else will be using it in my family.
Interested prospects in Bangalore can contact me through PM/Email. You are welcome to inspect the car at my place (and I can perhaps bring it to some places in South Bangalore like Jayanagar, BTM, JPN, Basavanagudi and BSK). No time passers please.
